Event Log: Party Royale

What: The event log for the Party Royale event
Where: All over the city!
When: September 22nd-29th
Warnings: Paintball, loss of consciousness, and partying!

As is par for the course in Hadriel, at some point throughout the day- waking up, making breakfast, doing laundry- you find an item. This isn't just any item though, it's a tried and true paintball gun, shining and just waiting to be picked up. This gun never runs out of ammunition, never malfunctions, and almost always hits the target that you're aiming at, so say hello to your new best friend for the next week.

Touching or picking up the gun will fill you with a competitive surge, which will likely increase when you find the note that's left with it, saying nothing more than be the last one standing. With instructions like that, how could you lose?

Well, you could lose if someone else shoots you. But never fear, there's a plan for that too! Even if you embrace the throes of unconsciousness, the gods have got your back and will eventually teleport you into a grand party where prizes will be handed out based on how long you survived. Awesome! At this party is also the traditional copious amounts of food and drink, as well as everyone's favorite goddess Delight and everyone's slightly-less-favorite goddess Rage!

[ HERE LIES ANGUS MCDONALD: HE DIED FROM A CRITICAL OVERDOSE OF PRAISE, AND THE SUBSEQUENT RUSH OF BLOOD TO HIS FACE.

No, seriously, Angus has gone completely red and he's grinning so wide that his face is practically split in half. He might even be a bit teary-eyed, because he's really susceptible to positive reinforcement, okay! He got actual praise! From Taako! To his face! And Lup has decided to keep him, whatever that means! THIS DAY IS THE BEST. ]

Th... thank you, sir! And yes ma'am, that sounds great minus the looting part which I'll most likely stay out of!

[knockthemdead]

[He laughs sharply, and suddenly looks very, very tired.]

You would think that would be the case, wouldn't you? And yet, somehow I suspect otherwise.

[knockthemdead]

I feel like that is a potentially very dangerous road to go down...

[He considers this briefly, head tilted, then grins at her.]

But I shall keep it in mind. Thank you.

[hellosirs]

If it helps, a bunch of my coworkers are here, and some of them have gone back and reappeared! They never said that our boss got mad!

[ Granted, Madame Director isn't a goddess, but C'MON KRAVITZ, CHEER UP ]

[He can't help but grin a bit at Angus' obviously over-the-top excitement, and when Lup doesn't go in to mess with him, Taako does, grabbing him and giving him an enthusiastic noogie. When he finally releases him, he doesn't let him go far, taking his wrist and beginning to drag him along to the spires.]

You can keep watch, we'll do the looting, you can take your faves. Onward, team Taako!

[restinglichface]

[Time for Lup to make an exit before Taako tackles her straight into the refreshment table. She gives a little wave before stepping away.]

Hit me up anytime, Krav. [she pauses for one last message:] Also, I'm so gettin' a dance outta you next time! And don't you forget it!

[knockthemdead]

[It doesn't make him feel even a LITTLE better because there is no chance in Kravitz's mind that their boss is as threatening as RQ herself, but hey. It's nice that this kid who hardly knows him is trying to cheer him up. A rare smile tugs at Krav's face.]

Perhaps I should be pushing for more benefits and better treatment of employees, hm?

You could always unionize, sir. There's strength in numbers.

[ He sounds 100% serious about this. C'MON KRAVITZ, LEAD THE WORKPLACE REVOLUTION ]

[restinglichface]

[Lup catches up with her brother only to playfully elbow him in the side as the trio make their way towards the spires to do some good ol' looting.] It's team Lup! We already discussed this!

[Prepare to get your shit stolen, Hadriel!]

[ Angus laughs as he's pulled into that noogie, and the sound is miles away from the restrained, muffled giggles that he usually does in polite company - this is screeching, delighted, caught-by-surprise laughter, and it actually makes him sound his age for once.

He trots along after the twins, happy to be on their team no matter what it's called - though he's privately dubbed them Team Detective. Angus is smart enough not to mention this though, especially when they have looting to do (and mental notes to take on exactly which items were looted, and where to return them to!) ]

[knockthemdead]

[He laughs loudly, then realises Angus is not, in fact, telling a joke.]

Ah. Yes. You're, you're quite right. Power to the people, who aren't actually people and are, in fact, very undead.

[He waves her off, grinning widely. It... it feels really nice to hear all that, even if the prospect of a dance with Lup is The Most Nerve Wracking.]
