Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for October
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: October 10th-14th
Warnings: Newbies, spookies, and evil trees!

If it's your first time here, congratulations! You get the lovely, unique sensation of eating dirt as the Door knocks you facefirst into the ground. You'll probably be a little woozy at first, so take your time getting up- meet some folks, introduce yourself, don't be weird about it. Welcome to Hadriel! You're not the only person who just got to taste alien dirt firsthand, though- there are several people in the same predicament as you, so feel free to say hi! Probably shouldn't spend too much time talking though, because the lovely trees that you thought were just scenery are starting to creep ever closer the more you let your guard down.

All around you is a forest of spooky evil trees- it seems to be just a normal sort of forest at first, but the more you take your eyes off of them, the more they shift around you and close in. Or is that just your imagination? If you move too close to one, look out! They're rather determined to pick you up and stick you into the ground so you might take root- and if you resist, well, a severed bud can still serve as a seed, right?

If the trees tear your clothes though, don't worry, there's plenty of extras to be found lying around the arena if you don't mind them being a bit dirty. Lying on the ground and sometimes hanging off of these tree branches are some free shirts, yours for the taking! You know, if you'd be caught dead with one...

But hey, after you've met new friends and found a new aesthetic, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

She actually manages a small smile at him and shakes her head. "I'd much rather keep you intact for a while." Some god would decide to fix that later, but they could at least try not to help them along.

"Nowhere really. I'm not sure how much they can hear when they aren't talking to us directly but I guess the apartment is probably best. You'll need to know where it is anyway. Will and Nico and I have been staying there since we got here."

Percy pauses, worry on his face. "What level of unsafe are we? Border guard at camp, Quest level or Tartarus?" He asks, and it's probably some kind of terrible that thats the scale of extremes they have for these kinds of things.

"We're gonna be okay, though, no matter how bad."

She actually has to stop and think about that for a bit, but eventually she shakes her head. "Somewhere between the Sea of Monsters and Tartarus, probably. There are a bunch of gods who keep messing with us to get power from our emotions so it kind of goes back and forth between good and bad."

She pauses there for a moment and makes a face. "Even the good ones can be bad. There were a couple of weeks when Will and I were siblings in some weirdly perfect town. We were in high school. It didn't go well."

"Let me guess, they don't have enough power to send us back and can't work together long enough to pool it?" He sighed, ruffling his fingers through his hair.

"High school never goes well, but... yeah, that sounds terrible. Aside from the siblings part, that's not too bad really."

He shoves his hands in his pockets, fingers curling around Riptide.

"I'm gonna hazard a guess that people can see the monsters as they are, are we hiding that we're demigods or just not explaining unless someone asks or it matters?"

"More like they can't figure it out. They seem to work together just fine." Especially when they were making everyone's live's miserable. "They get their power from us, or at least that's what they're telling us. From our emotions. And they mess with us pretty regularly to make us feel theirs." Evidently so they could use it to protect them, but most of the time it didn't feel that way.

She does make a face at the question of what they're doing about their...odd families. "Will keeps telling people. I've been a little more paranoid about it, but yeah. Everyone can see the monsters. I'm just...not all that comfortable with people knowing who my mom is yet."
