Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.
This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.
Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.
To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...► This log covers October 14th-20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you die in dreams you don't die in real life, but if you somehow die in real life anyway, please let us know here.
rage ; we will take back what was stolen from me and destroy those who wronged me
[ The setting is nondescript: a long, dark hallway, marbled and seemingly endless, with no notable features to speak of. It isn't the main focus of this dream. Rather, the interloper will notice the line of people, men and women, fighters and slavers. They stand in a long line and in silence, staring unblinkingly, barely moving. They're alive, but are more set dressing than anything else. They serve their purpose.
Daenerys, in black, walks in, heels echoing in the enormous hall. She seems single-minded as she approaches, stops in the center to look across the line, surveying in her own silence, for now. ]
You have wronged me. Harmed me, harmed my people. [ She speaks, but her mouth doesn't move. Their listen, but show no signs. Dany begins to walk alongside them, expression cold. ] You stood in my way, but could not stop me. I am the blood of the dragon, and I will sit the Iron Throne, as is my birthright. No man or woman can deny me that.
[ The room begins to change in that it grows brighter. No one reacts, of course, but traces of light begin to appear in flickering, warm tones. Dany is unfazed, hands folded in front of her, looking into the faces of Mirri Maz Duur, of Xaro Xhoan Daxos, of Dothraki and the Sons of the Harpy and dozens more. ]
I promised that my enemies would die screaming. I promised that I would burn your cities to the ground if you turned us away. I intend to keep those promises. I answer your injustices with true justice.
[ The room is gradually being consumed by fire, one not created by her dragons. It seems to crop up on its own, spreading across the hall, nonthreatening to Dany but clinging to the others. None react as they are burnt down to ash, and the young queen herself says nothing more as she watches.
It isn't enough. It doesn't change anything. ]

[Aren watches all this with raised eyebrows, the dwarf woman doing her best to stay away from the flames. Just because her gear makes her immune in the waking world doesn't mean it'll hold true in this dream. And she'd like to avoid being singed, just in case.]
Why were they stupid enough to be your enemies?
no subject
You would have to ask them. [ Of course, they're all ashes, now, so that won't be easy. ] I wonder the same thing.
[ Only sometimes, though. If I look back, I am lost. ]
no subject
Did you really burn them like this? Are you are mage? [Mages can't rule over anything, not in Thedas. But she's beginning to see that the rules are different elsewhere.]
no subject
[ But, her visitor seems to mean it more literally. Dany had lit the pyre herself, had commanded her dragons to spit fire at Pyat Pree, but she has no abilities of her own. In fact, the idea seems to darken her expression. ]
... No. I have no magic. [ Magic is a terrible and evil thing, she thinks. ] But I saw to their deaths all the same.
no subject
[That look about magic is noticed and she shakes her head.]
I didn't mean it as a bad thing; I've know a few mages, just thought you might be one more.
Either way, they fucked with you and now they can't. That's a win, right?
no subject
[ Obviously. ]
I am no mage. [ She repeats firmly. ] But - yes. They have paid the price for what they did.
[ For the crimes of each person, for what they'd done or planned to do to Dany and her allies. ]
no subject
Can't say I find fault with that. I like a woman who takes no shit from assholes who make the world a worse place. Mercy is a nice thing, but not everyone deserves it. That's what some people in their ivory towers forget.
no subject
[ And so many others, still, need to face their justice... ]
no subject
What awaits them? There are so many...
The fire catches her off-guard and she covers her mouth to muffle a yelp. The scent of burning flesh is nauseating and it is a long time before she can turn away from the pillar she is pressed against and look for the young queen.
Daenerys does not look...satisfied. But there is no one left to burn. Sansa approaches her quietly, curtsying before she is acknowledged.)
Your Grace?
no subject
[ It's somehow not surprising that Sansa is here. The terrible scent vanishes all at once, as if clearing up the place for the guest. Dany does not look any happier, or any more satisfied, and glances to Sansa with impassive eyes. ]
Don't be afraid. You are not my enemy.
[ They may not be the closest of friends, but they've formed an alliance, or so she thinks. The Starks of the present are friends to the Targaryens. ]
They deserved to burn. [ She adds, as if justifying herself, as she turns back to the ashes. ]
