Event Log: Dreamwalker the Second

What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event

When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.

This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.

Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.

To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...

[she takes a deep breath and holds it in anticipation. so this is her fate, destined to be nothing more than a splatter on the ground, centuries before her due time— oh, someone caught her.

slowly, she opens her eyes. someone caught her! not today, death, not today.]

Thank you—! Oh, wow, I figured I was definitely a goner for a moment there...

I'd never let you be hurt.

[Easy promises to make, but they're easy to keep when he's the greatest superhero who ever lived. Genesis slowly flies them down toward the ground, wanting to be certain that the girl is all right before he lets her go.]

Do you know how you ended up there? Falling?

[naw]

[now that she's no longer panicking and her heart isn't about to burst from her chest, she gets a better look at Genesis's face. he looks almost sort of scary, but it's just a passing thought.]

Nope. No idea. I suppose... [she takes a deep breath to steady herself once she's standing on solid ground.] The last thing I remember is falling asleep. What is this place?

[kidpocalypse]

This?

[He glances around them like it's a trick question. It has to be obvious, right? From the prairie grass and the sweet scent of wildflowers on the breeze (with a little undertone of cow), if nothing else.]

This is Kansas.

[Genesis squints up at the sky, like it might offer a clue.]

Where were you sleeping?

[naw]

Oh. Kansas.

[somehow, that answer is enough even though it isn't. now that she really thinks hard about it, she can't quite remember where she'd fallen asleep. all she remembers is closing her eyes then waking up to see the ground waaaay below her.]

I... don't think it really matters, does it? Well, thanks again for saving me. Who are you?

You can call me Genesis.

[A superhero doesn't share the name in his wallet unless it's very necessary--and anyway, Genesis is a lot more impressive than Evan, as names go.]

Where do you live, miss? I can take you home.

[naw]

I don't live in Kansas, that's for sure. I'm from Ylisse.

[a foreign-sounding name as any. maybe she fell through a dimensional wormhole or something, within the context of the dream's happenings.]

And my name is Nah. Just Nah.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Nah.

[Now there's just one problem.]

I haven't heard of...Ylisse. [Did he say that right? He hopes he did.] Is it over in Oklahoma?

[naw]

Nope. Never heard of Oka... Oklahome. Oklahoma. [what a weird name.]

It's alright, really, I'm not in any hurry to go back.
