What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event
Where: In your dreams
When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.
This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.
Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.
To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...► This log covers October 14th-20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you die in dreams you don't die in real life, but if you somehow die in real life anyway, please let us know here.

Oh. You're a dragon as well? Er, unless that's just a figure of speech.
[she casts a somewhat doubtful look at Saber. this place is so weird.]

[ The only other dragon she knows of is her uncle Vortigern; the evil white dragon to her own red. She should be wary, perhaps even combative, but — the strangeness of the dream helps her take it in stride. Her guard has already been substantially lowered by Hope's influence. ]
My core is that of the red dragon of Britain. I do not claim to know the details, but I am certain of that much. [ Merlin had explained it once: conceptual fertilization. But, despite her potential, most magical dealings go right over her head. ] ... I will assume that you mean no harm to this country, despite your origins.
no subject
nahno, that's not her style.]Well, I don't know anything about the ones of your land. Sounds like our countries share a similar problem of being threatened by evil dragons, though. [nice to know it's an issue that transcends the boundaries of universes.]

[ ... The first part, not the second. Being the simple town girl she is at this stage, she hasn't had a chance to meet many foreigners — not that she has any idea just how foreign Nah is. Remembering her etiquette, she bows slightly, though it's rough, unpracticed. ]
My name is Arthur. [ It's strange. She has this urge to introduce herself as Saber, even if she's never once gone by that name. At least she knows well to go by Arthur instead of Arturia, given what an issue her gender is about to become. ] Perhaps our countries may be allies one day.
no subject
[Arthur. isn't that a man's name? but no comment; like Nah has any room to judge.]
I've never heard of Britain until today, but of course. Strength comes in numbers, and Ylisse would certainly welcome another ally. [a fate/fire emblem collaboration. the stuff of gatcha nightmares.]
no subject
To have not heard of Britain... your Ylisse must certainly be far.
[ Ridiculously far, in fact. It seems almost impossible, but would she lie to her? Nah. ]
Being king will not be an easy task. But I do not believe it will be a mistake. [ She looks up at the sword again, smiling despite knowing the consequences of pulling it. ] A king is someone who protects others and brings them happiness. Their safety is all that I wish for. It is a different kind of rule from my father's, but not an incorrect one.

[it still only makes a little bit of sense to her, but she does like Saber's attitude. and frankly, upon first impressions, she'd trust this random teenage girl to be a king over any of those knights at the jousting tournament.]
no subject
[ She knows he'd be laughing at her somewhere nearby; there's no way he wouldn't be here already. Still, with a nod to Nah, she moves to approach the sword. ]
But the time has come. [ ... ] Perhaps we will meet again, on my journey to become king.
[ The dream grows more real, becoming purely a memory. As if summoned by the mention of his name, a... flamboyantly dressed man appears the moment she lays her hand on the hilt.
"You should think things through before you take that, Arturia. Once you draw the sword, you will stop being human. Not only that, you will be hated by all humanity, and reach a horrendous death. Is that alright?"
She doesn't even hesitate—
"Many people were smiling. I do not believe this path is a mistake."
—and, when she effortlessly pulls the sword, everything turns blindingly white.
(Later, she'll feel differently, but that's not hopeful. The dream ends before regret can snake its way in.) ]
