Event Log: Dreamwalker the Second

What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event
Where: In your dreams
When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.

This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.

Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.

To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...

The spandex suit is ridiculous, really. She looks like she belongs in a bad fitness video, the kind she would have found in the piles of videos by the TV as a kid. The green clashes horribly with her hair, but it is - ultimately - more practical to run and jump across the city in something skin-tight and stretchy than, say, a miniskirt.

Kate comes to a halt at the edge of a roof as she catches a glance of a familiar shape in the sky - Genesis, right? - and exhales. Always a little bit jealous of the flying thing, even as the nondescript city stretches out before her, full of promise and life.

"Show-off." Always a little bit jealous, but she can't blame the guy for enjoying it. If she could fly...

"What?" he asks, coming down on two feet before her. If the grin on his face is anything to go by, he knows perfectly well what, and he's not that sorry about it. "Is something wrong, Boost?"

Poor flightless Boost looks picture-perfect in her supersuit, as always--with the green spandex and the pink hair, she's like a washed-out picture of Marvel Girl from a book on mutant history. (Well, without the miniskirt, anyway. It's impossible to picture Boost putting on one of those.) And while they don't work together often, she's always helpful to have around. Enough so that, if she mentions what's bugging her, he's pretty willing to try to solve the problem.

She knows that grin. Don't even try that, mister. She sees that sort of knowing grin all too often from friends and family about all sorts of things, so her instinct is to aim a quick, harmless push at Genesis' shoulder and roll her eyes.

Thankfully, thankfully, for her ego, there's something of a reason for the grouchiness. Other than simply not being able to fly like him.

"Were trying to get over there," she gestures to a skyscraper a while away, something that's surrounded by shorter buildings leaving a complex and time consuming maze of buildings as the only option for grounded superheroes. "Gonna take forever."

Not that she needs help. Not at all.
