Event Log: Dreamwalker the Second

What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event
Where: In your dreams
When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.

This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.

Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.

To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...

[He says it as if he knows exactly who she is, and as if she's meant to be here. Why wouldn't she be?]

It wouldn't be a proper party without you.

[ it's weird - there's part of her that feels exactly like she's supposed to be here, and part of her who isn't sure how any of this is happening. ]

It's going to be a good night. I did hear a rumor though - about a champagne fountain? If that's true I think I'd like to start there.

Would I have a birthday party without a champagne fountain? You know me better than that.

[And maybe there wasn't one there before - but this is a dream. A happy dream, maybe almost a perfect dream. There is one now, on a table of its own, an extravagant thing.]

[ she holds her arm out for him to take as they make their way to the champagne. ] That's what I was hoping you'd say.

[ this is the most fun she's had in a while. if she focuses too long on the other faces (or any of, really) it all feels a little out of place. she pushes those doubts away. it's a party. why worry? ]

Did you make a birthday wish yet?

[He gallantly takes her arm and leads her over to retrieve drinks for both of them.]

What do I have to wish for, when I've got all this?

[Rhy seems perfectly happy. Delighted, even.]

Maybe I can hold on to it for later.

[ she can't argue with that. ] For a rainy day. I like that.

[ she hasn't been to a party like this for ages, not since the Capitol. and there's never been a party in Hadriel just like this one. but it's a birthday - maybe that explains it. a special birthday. ]

This party is just what we all needed. Some fun, some time to forget all the crazy stuff that's been happening. Oh, and celebrating you, of course.

Of course. Now I really am the crown prince.

[As this party means he's come of age, formally, and he can now start doing things like... negotiating a marriage. And other boring crap.]

But that's no fun. I intend to spend my first evening as a real prince drinking heavily and dancing with every pretty person in this place.
