Event Log: Dreamwalker the Second

What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event
Where: In your dreams
When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.

This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.

Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.

To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...

[ They are the last ones. He isn't sure why it happened or what it means.

But he stands near her now, trying to remember. ]

[ she shakes her head. ] No. I don't think so.

Something's wrong. If people die Hope is supposed to resurrect them. They're not supposed to stay dead. [ why now? and why is she left behind? ]

We should find a way to fix it.

[ Maybe Hope is gone. Maybe all of the gods are gone.

He doesn't know what she intends to do about it, but he stands beside her. ]

We don't have that power.

[64th]

[ Cashmere makes a soft wail of distress. he's right. ]

Not before, but if things are different, maybe everything is different. [ her expression darkens. ] We can't live here alone. I don't want to be alone.

We just need to find a way to make everyone not be - [ she gestures to the headstones around them. ] this.

[citytraveler]

[ There's no point in saying it again; but they don't have that power.

They need to move away from this place. She needs to clear her head. ]

Come on. Let's go find a way.

[ Maybe he can't help her bring everyone back. But he can help her find a way out.

If the gods are gone, then maybe the magic trapping them here is gone too. ]

[ she nods, but she's hesitant to walk away. what else will they find in the rest of the city. ]

Okay. [ she lets him lead her away from the graves. everything is quiet, as though they're the only two left in the whole world. Cashmere picks up her pace, headed for Hope's temple. the best resolution will be going straight to the source. ]

If you're here, and I'm here... we can't be the only ones. [ they are. ] We'll find them. If you were hiding from a mass destruction of a city, where would you be?
