What: The event log for the Dreamwalker part 2 event
Where: In your dreams
When: October 14th-20th (the second log will go up on Oct 23rd, please keep the two weeks of the event separate!)
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under the umbrella of Delight, Rage, Sorrow, and Hope.
This time, the weird stuff doesn't happen when you're awake- as a matter of fact, your waking hours are the normal ones. That's because you're forced to sleep by some unknown entity, getting more and more exhausted by the moment as night falls. Better make sure you're always around a soft pillow.
Once asleep, it doesn't get any less weird- your dreams will be influenced by one of the four gods that make up the first week. Something to make you smile, something to make you angry- or something that reminds you of your deepest regret or most vulnerable hope, they're all things that you're dreaming about now for some reason, no matter how hard you may try to pull away from them.
To make matters more complicated, there are others intruding on your dreams who definitely don't belong there, and while they may seem like manifestations at first, it becomes clear that these others are actually the consciousness of other members of Hadriel, getting some top quality exposure to your angriest, happiest, most sorrowful moments. Hope it doesn't get awkward when you see them tomorrow...► This log covers October 14th-20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you die in dreams you don't die in real life, but if you somehow die in real life anyway, please let us know here.

"Hans Voralberg is my creator and the man who designed this train."

It would be most interesting to meet this person, Oscar's creator and also, the train-maker!

Their surroundings seem to come into focus again. The howling wind returns. Their strange, four-legged companion stretches, stands up and makes its way across the cabin to inspect the floor next to Oscar.
"Please keep this animal away from the controls, Kate Walker."
The young lady slowly turns her attention toward the offender and smiles.
"Youki! Hey, come here, boy!" The creature happily goes to her, looking up at her expectantly and sniffing the ground in front of her before letting out a low whimper and sitting down again when it dawns on him that he isn't about to be handed food. "You must be hungry, huh?"
If the woman herself is craving the restaurant car's usual fare, she doesn't show any sign of it. Oscar worries for her well-being... As the one responsible for his passengers' comfort, that is to be expected.
"Breaking away from the passenger car was our only way forward, Kate Walker."
"I know, Oscar."

He looks around and watches with interest the young lady, Kate, and the friendly creature, Youki. Good that Oscar has some companions from his own world, seeing as how this is his dream and the circumstances will be best known to these companions -- as opposed to Curufin, who is not part of their story.
But he's interested. He'll keep his eyes and ears open, staying alert for ways to be useful.

Avoiding the brutes entirely would, in Oscar's opinion, be the best course of action going forward. It is not clear to him why they chose to take Mr. Voralberg in the first place. But their focus should be on finding Hans, not aiming to exact any type of revenge onto those they would call their enemies. While he would undoubtedly relish seeing them get some form of comeuppance, he will not wish real harm onto another being.
"We'll fetch you something just as soon as we've stopped." Kate Walker, to the creature, then adding with a smile: "Won't we, Oscar?"
"I am not sure that we will, Kate Walker." His exceedingly dry tone might suggest that he doesn't in fact approve of the animal's presence on this train, let alone the idea of committing to its ongoing care. At the very least, it suggests he is skeptical about finding enough food to satiate the appetite of such a large creature.

He wishes he could interact with Kate and Youki, but it seems Oscar is the only one who can perceive Curufin's presence.
Still, maybe this is not a blanket rule in this dream. Curufin is hoping to make himself useful to Oscar in some way.
