What: The event log for the second half of the Dreamwalker Part Two event
Where: All over the city!
When: October 23rd-29th
Warnings: All different kinds of dreams falling under Fear, Love, Confusion, and Tranquility
It was over - at least, it seemed to be. The dreams stopped, and maybe you were a little disappointed, or maybe you were just relieved. Maybe, though, you noticed that only four of the gods had been influencing you. Sure, that might have been it, but was there really a chance of that? So, just for a few days, you slept (or didn't sleep) normally.
Until it started again. Those deep, unavoidable sleeps, taking you into vivid and emotional dreams. This time, the other four gods are getting in on the act. Expect some nightmares,
some embarrassingly schmoopy dreams - or dreams that don't make sense, or dreams that leave you calm and centered. You can't force these dreams to be anything but what they are,
so you might as well give in and enjoy the ride. Maybe it won't be so bad.
And of course, there are visitors this time, too. Just when you thought it might be safe to have a candy-colored dream about your secret crush, well... turn around and they might be standing right there, wondering what the hell is going on. By now, people know what to expect, but that doesn't give them any better control over things. Let's hope there's no good blackmail material in these dreams.► This log covers October 23rd-29th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you slept so terribly that you trip over a rock and die, please let us know here.

Lup finds herself in the passenger seat of this thing, her gaze flying around the interior of the car, to the man in the backseat, to Brennan looking so casual in the front. And then, with more alarm than expected, she realizes she's trapped.
After a dozen years spent confined in her own vore-umbrella, Lup is just so not about this life. Panic seizes at her chest almost immediately, a hand moving to the glass of the window, where Lup pushes at it with her full strength to no avail. Her voice has a hysterical edge to it, anxiety tinging every word. This is the most serious Brennan will ever see the woman, that's for damn certain.]
Doc, if you don't get this shit fixed ASAP, I'm blowing us out of here.

[Brennan's voice is even and controlled. She is scared too, but giving in to her fear will only hamper her ability to think rationally. If that happens, they may as well give up.
Holding her little project steady, she meets Lup's gaze.]
It's possible we're buried shallow enough that you can blast away the dirt on top of us, but it's also possible we'ee buried so deep that all you'll manage to do is send a big enough shock through the air to turn our brains to mush.
[How can she look and sound so unperturbed when her heart is hammering in her chest? It is a mystery.]
I'm rigging my cell phone to work when I honk the car horn. We'll have... seconds at most, but it should be enough to send a message. I haven't figured out yet what I'll send. I don't know exactly where we are. [Looking at the man in the backseat, she says,] Hodgins might be able to tell from looking at the soil, but I don't know when he'll wake up, and that's assuming I didn't kill him.

Which, you know, if people weren't around, Lup wouldn't mind exploding and killing herself. She'd just float up out of her body and continue on as a lich. But since there's at least one human still alive in this car, she's trying to save that as a last resort.
Though none of that settles the panic thrumming in her chest.]
I don't.. I don't give a fuck, just get us out!! [The researcher in her would be endlessly curious about this, but that will come later, when she isn't trapped alive in this awful, awful place.] Just tell me what to do.

[She pauses, lips oursed together as the thinks. Lup can use... let's call it "magic" for simplicity's sake. That could be very useful.]
Can you... focus your magic like a laser beam? If we can create a tunnel to the surface, we can at least breathe comfortably. It'll be a good start.
no subject
Sorry. I don't think I have any spells like that. Pretty much anything with fire is gonna explode on impact... [Lup goes quiet, running through her list of spells, eyes squeezing shut.] I have, uh, passwall? It creates a passage through a solid wall, but it only goes twenty feet deep. If we're lower than that... [Then the rest of the earth from above them will avalanche straight on top of them and suffocate them sooner.]

Twenty feet.]
Lup. That's perfect. The killer's MO-- she never buries her victims deeper than four to six feet. [When she was buried alive, Brennan did not know the killer was a woman. But in this dream, somehow, she knows.] You can get us out of here!
no subject
You....You're sure, right? [If she wasn't so stressed, Lup would realize how stupid her words were. Of course Brennan was sure. Duh] Cause if I die, I'm gonna get out of this just fine. But if you die...
no subject
I am certain of it. My team and I uncovered the remains of her latest victims. They were buried in a... a toy for children. A large, metallic, wholly inaccurate spaceship. Their grave was shallow. Besides... if your mmagic doesn't kill us, lack of oxygen will. At least like this, we die trying. Fighting.
no subject
Right. Right. No sweat, sis, I got this. [Lup shifts in the car, moving to lean against the dash so she could face the back of the car. She presses both hands up against the roof of the car and the instant she casts passwall, everything beneath her hands (and beyond) disappears.]

Brennan shoots Lup a grin, relieved and ecstatic. Voices can be heard from overhead, ones that Lup will know, somehow, belong to people who can be trusted, people who are important to Brennan and Hodgins both.
Setting her cell phone down, Brennan turns in her seat and reaches for Hodgins, shaking him hard and telling him to wake up, they're free, they're going to live.
Hodgins opens his eyes and squints at the sky.
The dream ends.]
