It was bound to happen. The Null warned you, after all, and this has been building for awhile - and now it's here. First comes the initial attack, the agents of the Null attacking Hope's temple. Then, an SOS, warning the city of what's happened: a betrayal, and Hope being injured. Luckily for everyone, thanks to the actions of his guards Hope survives the attack. Unluckily, his attacker, the goddess Delight, escapes and lets the Null in.
Flooding into the cave, the Null will attack anyone who they believe is resisting them. They'll destroy buildings and deploy dangerous crowd control weapons, in addition to their sheer strength and speed. Confusion empties the monsters in the tunnels into the city, to help distract the Null. Some gods fight, others provide safe havens, but everyone is in danger.
After about a week and a half of the attack, Fear summons enough power to teleport the city. This stops any new Null from arriving through the tunnels, but the remaining Null must be hunted down and destroyed, or else they'll signal their location to the rest of their species. The danger will lessen as Null are taken out, but things won't really be safe until Fear moves the city again, so don't get too comfortable.
What will you do? Run and hide? Fight? Help the fighters? Turn on the gods yourself? Whatever you do, it's time to make a decision.► This log covers November 25th-December 12th.

I'd say it's about time to bring the heat. You got this?

[But that being said, she'll take a step back so that Lup can have first crack at the incoming Null. She wants to see what Lup's magic does to the Null first before bringing her own. There's enough Null coming at them that overkill, while satisfying, would be a waste of energy when they need to conserve it.]

Are you trying to make me look bad, sis? Can't say I've ever fought off a goddess, but these fucks I've got handled. [And sure enough, the fire in her palms dances higher before Lup hurls a fireball at the closest robot. Normal fire might not work well against steel, but her arcane flames burn straight through the steel casing, incinerating the delicate processor inside almost instantly. The Null shudders, limbs jerking once, twice before it collapses.]

[Ikaruga watches approvingly. Oh, good. Magical flames can be effective. Although she's still reluctant to use her one technique that involves fire, simply because it does take more energy than just using her magic to cut through things that would otherwise be difficult or impossible. The latter is the ability that comes most naturally to her - something she's been able to do since she was small.]
I mentioned sword magic to you before. I think a visual demonstration is best.
[With a quick draw of her blade, she slices cleanly through the next Null to approach, splitting it and its processor into many pieces in a second.]

Oh dang, girl, talk about impressive. You've got hella style. Can you take out more than one? Like, line 'em up and just slice through 'em both at once? That would be pretty sick.

I can take out many of them. My magic enhances my speed as well.
[Too fast to be seen, there are multiple flashes of light before several Null in the area shatter like brittle clay. Ikaruga is careful to take out the processors in the process. Perhaps when there are less Null to deal with, she'll collect some of the bigger pieces. They could be melted down into weapons.]
I wonder...would they become more brittle if they were superheated with a fire spell and then frozen with an ice spell?

Her fists catch fire again, the flames dancing even higher than before as Lup shoots a wink to her friend.] Let's just find out, shall we?
[Burning Hands is perfect for this one, sheets of flame flying from her fingertips, spreading out to land a solid hit against every Null in the area. The fire keeps coming, heating up their metal frames, dancing up their spindly arms just until Ikaruga is ready for her own attack.]
