Event Log: End of Arc 2

It was bound to happen. The Null warned you, after all, and this has been building for awhile - and now it's here. First comes the initial attack, the agents of the Null attacking Hope's temple. Then, an SOS, warning the city of what's happened: a betrayal, and Hope being injured. Luckily for everyone, thanks to the actions of his guards Hope survives the attack. Unluckily, his attacker, the goddess Delight, escapes and lets the Null in.

Flooding into the cave, the Null will attack anyone who they believe is resisting them. They'll destroy buildings and deploy dangerous crowd control weapons, in addition to their sheer strength and speed. Confusion empties the monsters in the tunnels into the city, to help distract the Null. Some gods fight, others provide safe havens, but everyone is in danger.

After about a week and a half of the attack, Fear summons enough power to teleport the city. This stops any new Null from arriving through the tunnels, but the remaining Null must be hunted down and destroyed, or else they'll signal their location to the rest of their species. The danger will lessen as Null are taken out, but things won't really be safe until Fear moves the city again, so don't get too comfortable.

What will you do? Run and hide? Fight? Help the fighters? Turn on the gods yourself? Whatever you do, it's time to make a decision.

「The wave of sadness hits Atem terribly, he, who always carries all of his grief deep inside, refusing to let it show, when it floods him, it's overwhelming. It brings him to down to his knees, flashes of all the things he's done that he regrets make him lose his focus, it makes him forget why he is even fighting. His summoned monsters disappear right on the spot and he doesn't think he'll ever have the will to bring them back. It couldn't have happened at a worst moment, the Null seem to be recovering, while he dwells on his anguish.

Atem sees them moving toward him, but he cannot bring himself to escape, he just stares.

So this is how it ends for him? Struck by some machine, destined to be forgotten forever? Maybe he deserves it... He closes his normal eye, expecting the blast and the pain.

It never comes.

Instead he hears someone's battle cry, it startles him, but it helps him get back to his senses. The wave of sorrow is finally lifting from his shoulders enough for him to react.

Shit-- That doesn't look good! He needs to help him!」

[the Null are very heavy and incredibly tough, but they're also not expecting some foolish human to just bodily rush them. Also, this foolish human has super strength, so that helps. Prussia gets the element of surprise on them, and completely turn their attention away from Atem. He was one of the first ones on their hit list, after all, so he's a high priority target.

Prussia does his best to scramble back to his feet and get his sword, but he has to dodge their lasers to do that. A hard thing to do when there's so many of them. Still, he focuses on Atem at the moment.]

Get-- Get outta here! Before they come after you. I can hold 'em back.
