Event Log: End of Arc 2

What: The event log for the End of Arc 2
Where: All over the city

Warnings: A full-scale battle, including character death, NPC death, and various other ways to suffer

It was bound to happen. The Null warned you, after all, and this has been building for awhile - and now it's here. First comes the initial attack, the agents of the Null attacking Hope's temple. Then, an SOS, warning the city of what's happened: a betrayal, and Hope being injured. Luckily for everyone, thanks to the actions of his guards Hope survives the attack. Unluckily, his attacker, the goddess Delight, escapes and lets the Null in.

Flooding into the cave, the Null will attack anyone who they believe is resisting them. They'll destroy buildings and deploy dangerous crowd control weapons, in addition to their sheer strength and speed. Confusion empties the monsters in the tunnels into the city, to help distract the Null. Some gods fight, others provide safe havens, but everyone is in danger.

After about a week and a half of the attack, Fear summons enough power to teleport the city. This stops any new Null from arriving through the tunnels, but the remaining Null must be hunted down and destroyed, or else they'll signal their location to the rest of their species. The danger will lessen as Null are taken out, but things won't really be safe until Fear moves the city again, so don't get too comfortable.

What will you do? Run and hide? Fight? Help the fighters? Turn on the gods yourself? Whatever you do, it's time to make a decision.

[For now, Raidou stands back from Malkus, not sure what was going on with him. He could smell him from this distance already. He has his sword drawn, and a loaded pistol on his hip. He was prepared.

If looks could kill, Malkus would be hurting pretty bad right about now.]

Raidou! You would not believe the day I am having.

[ Malkus knelt to pick up the corpse he'd recently dispatched. He wasn't a fool, despite the mock-jovial tone in his voice. The doctor just didn't feel the bloodlust towards some of his fellow residents that the Null did. He tossed the harpy's body to the side with a loud grunt before picking his blade back up. His hand curled around the hilt firmly, edge out rather than in. The bruised ego he'd attained when they failed to end Hope immediately still bit at him, but he tried not to let it show. ]

Not much going on here. Killing beasts. Looking for parasites.

[ He tried not to bring too much attention to the Null just yet. The way they fought was a bit too hectic. Malkus was almost knocked through a window just awhile ago, when one of the larger ones had barreled towards another Hadrielite. But be careful, Raidou! There was a battle raging on around them. ]

I'd say a lot's going on. And it appears you have something to do with it.

[Raidou was on edge, ready to fight. Besides his weapons, he had his demons. He took one of the tubes from his bandoleer and in a flash, Jack Frost appears, ready for action. He's a little surprised to see his master glaring daggers at Malkus of all people, though.]

You know I don't side with the gods. But that doesn't mean I am with these machines or willing to harm anyone. What do you think you're doing?
