It was bound to happen. The Null warned you, after all, and this has been building for awhile - and now it's here. First comes the initial attack, the agents of the Null attacking Hope's temple. Then, an SOS, warning the city of what's happened: a betrayal, and Hope being injured. Luckily for everyone, thanks to the actions of his guards Hope survives the attack. Unluckily, his attacker, the goddess Delight, escapes and lets the Null in.
Flooding into the cave, the Null will attack anyone who they believe is resisting them. They'll destroy buildings and deploy dangerous crowd control weapons, in addition to their sheer strength and speed. Confusion empties the monsters in the tunnels into the city, to help distract the Null. Some gods fight, others provide safe havens, but everyone is in danger.
After about a week and a half of the attack, Fear summons enough power to teleport the city. This stops any new Null from arriving through the tunnels, but the remaining Null must be hunted down and destroyed, or else they'll signal their location to the rest of their species. The danger will lessen as Null are taken out, but things won't really be safe until Fear moves the city again, so don't get too comfortable.
What will you do? Run and hide? Fight? Help the fighters? Turn on the gods yourself? Whatever you do, it's time to make a decision.► This log covers November 25th-December 12th.

He thinks of a specific name and smiles nonchalantly.] You kno-
[He is interrupted by one of those electric projectiles coming his way. By luck, it misses him and ends up a metre away from him.
It looks like they both have company.]

By the Six-- [Ignis mutters, stepping aside to shoo the boy into the temple.]
If you're not capable of fighting, get inside.

What is also important though is that he has to protect Hope. The Null moves forward towards Komaeda. Komaeda, still with the weapons, dashes to the temple's entrance and stops.]
Is the god Hope still inside?

You would be best to not try to approach him while armed, or without making your true intentions clear.
[Ignis has no doubt, at this point, that anyone viewed as even the slightest threat would meet fierce resistance. He couldn't say if Hope was still present, though he suspects that he is, and the Guard will not be allowing people to get too close.]

Would you like me to leave the weapons here, then?
[Komaeda turned to check. It would be useless if he died here. He realised the Null was coming closer so he started to run inside.....
And then he tripped and fell over. And because his luck is really stupid, the bag of knives he was holding suddenly spring out, blades pointed towards the Null. They're not strong enough to cause huge damage towards it but they do cause it to jump back to try and avoid them.]

No more time for talk.
[Definitely no more time. Ignis flips both of his daggers into his hands and moves swiftly to flank the creature.]
Move, or fight, but decide quickly!

Meanwhile, the Null takes a few seconds to recover and suddenly shoots out another electricty projectile, right at Ignis. Ignis might want to try to dodge out of the way.]
no subject
He's going to have to take this thing down.
But first, he looks over at the boy.]
Why are you still just standing there?
[As long as he's not either moving or fighting, he's a liability needing protection in this battle.]
Lemme know if this is ok!
Until another Null flies from above and lands right in front of him blocking his path.]
Ah. Whoops.
[That is a bit of an understatement.]
... likewise.
The creature stiffens, then falls, and Ignis pushes Komaeda hard towards the door of the temple.]
I have no time for this kind of tomfoolery, get inside if you're to be of no other use to me.
