Intro Log: Welcome to Your New Home

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for December
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: December 10th-12th
Warnings: New folks, fire everywhere, and there are still killer robots on the loose

As far too many others have in the past, you wake up on the sandy ground of the colosseum, the stone ceiling of the cave stretching high overhead. But this is probably the first time this has happened to you - and even if it isn't, things are even more chaotic than usual right now. You've come at a weird time, friend.

The first thing you might see when you wake up is a salamander, or maybe a lot of salamanders. These amphibious creatures may be kind of cute, they're also incredibly flammable. Anything that brushes up against them has a very good chance of lighting on fire, so keep your distance, and make sure all your stuff keeps its distance too. Oh, and maybe keep them from crawling into the city to light that on fire, too. And in case that isn't enough warmth for you, you can also find a collection of different socks scattered around the arena. So that's... nice.

Of course, you've come at a remarkably bad time. A whole army of evil AI robot creatures recently attacked the city, and all you newcomers have arrived just as the attack is winding down. Does that mean you're not in too much danger? Of course not! There are still Null running around, and while they will ignore you if you ignore them, the second you attack them or deliberately get in their way they'll turn on you too. On top of that, the city itself has been devastated by the attack, with buildings destroyed and people killed. Welcome to Hadriel, let's hope no one tries to use you as a distraction while you're confused and frightened.

Once things calm down, the city's going to be on a different world - but you'll still have a life to live. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[If Will thought he was somewhere he knew previously, running smack into a six foot tall high elf with a pointy wizard hat would probably break that. He rocks back on his heel when the kid collides with his leg, quickly regaining his balance with the use of a rather fancy looking umbrella as he looks down at Will.]

Kid, if you're lookin' to run, step one is uh, not running into people.

[Why does this place keep kidnapping kids, jeez.]

S- Sorry, I- [ Will utters almost as soon as he's accidentally slammed into a human like figure, looking up with somewhat panicked eyes. Looking at who he's bumped into doesn't help with the amount of questions he has. What... are those ears? Did they forget Halloween was days ago? ]

There was a... lizard. Freaked me out, and... [ He's still staring at the hat and the ears. They've gotta be make up, right? ] I don't really know where I am.

[Taako looks blankly down at Will, seemingly unaware of of how stunned he looks. He's been getting a lot more of those stares since he got to Hadriel- you'd think these people had never seen an elf before. Regardless, after a few seconds, a lazy grin moves over his features, and he shrugs.]

Well, if you're lookin' for stuff to make sense, it's prrrrobably not gonna for a while. Wherever you were, you're not gonna be back 'till this place spits you out.

I... don't understand. [ Will has a lot of questions, it's hard to know where to start. He's also unlikely to stop staring at the hat and the ears and the general oddness of this stranger any time soon.

He's starting to think this is all just a weird, vivid dream. ] ...Why are there lizards everywhere?

Well, that's a good place to start.

[One of them comes skittering forward, and Taako pokes at it with the Umbra Staff like it's a misbehaving dog. It wiggles and tries to light the staff on fire, but Taako shakes it and it flares back with a bit of flame out of the tip. In response, the lizard jumps and runs about as fast as it can the other way, and Taako laughs a bit, sticking his tongue out at it as it goes.]

They uh, get dumped in here with new people every month. Door picks some people, picks some baddies, throws 'em in a pot for fun or something. It's different every time. These're pretty harmless, though, just don't touch 'em or whatever.
