Who: All characters participating in the event
What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th
Warnings: Stealth Rock

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

"Even so." He smiles sadly.

"You are very wise, young one."

"I only listen. Listening helps." Not enough people listen, so he does.

"It does - sometimes people are too impatient to listen, I suppose."

"They try to help themselves. They don't have time to listen to someone else."

"Often, no." Maglor smiles sadly. "It would probably help if they did though."

"Maybe. Some of them try, but they need to hear themselves first before than can hear someone else."

"Is that what you're for, youngling?"

"Yes. It's all I am, hearing and hurting and helping and healing when others can't."

"Not just all, I think." Maglor smiles at him gently. "But in good part, perhaps. Thank you, little one."

"I am. I'm here to help, made by Maker to heal the hurting. I'm not a person. I don't mind."

"What makes a person?"

Maglor reaches out as if to touch, but restrains himself.

"You have a kind heart, and a gentle spirit. I think you more a person than some here."

"Varric tried to make me one, but I'm not." He's rather confused that anyone would think he is one. "People can't hear the whispers."

"Why should that matter?" Maglor shrugs. "I can hear things my kinsmen cannot, as they have their own talents too. I don't see how that matters, youngling!"

Cole just stares for a moment, confused. "People don't think so. I didn't mind because I knew. If I could help more, I didn't have to be a person."

"They're not looking at you correctly then - for you're very much a person, Cole."

"You sound like Varric. Dark disappointment, a whisper of a whisper of a worry, winding over and under and through. 'He could have been a person.'"

"Not could have." Maglor says firmly. "Are. You stand before me and you offer comfort to a stranger, Cole. You are."

"I can't hear it hurting and not help. Not while it sings, soft and silent sighing, saying it hurts. Am I real even when I'm not?"

"Others have done so, and will do so. I think you are, Cole"

"I don't mind if they do." Spirits don't get to be people, after all. "I'm only pretend but I can be real to."

Maglor reaches over to touch an arm.

"You are real to me."

Normally he wouldn't let someone else touch him, but he stands still, looking and not really sure what to say for a moment.

"You're different."

"I am very old." Maglor's touch is light, and gentle.

"I suppose it might make me so."

"Yes. I can hear it, longer and louder. An ancient thing taking up all the room with music."

Maglor laughs softly.

"Am I too loud? Sorry youngling, I don't know how to change that."
