Warnings: Stealth Rock
It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.
There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!
To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!► This log covers April 14th-April 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get hit by levitating rubble or eat a food that wasn't meant for you, please let us know here.

[Michael pulls a jar out from under his arm. The label identifies its contents as "ghost peppers".]
Still got these.
[If this question was a distraction tactic, it has worked.]
no subject
What's that? [He asks, leaning closer to take a better look at the jar while gently pressing the rose bush against his chest.] I've never seen peppers like that before.
no subject
You can try one, but you probably won't like it. They're like, painfully spicy. [Which begs the question of why he eats them?] They're ghost peppers. They're a kind of chili. I think they're from India originally? If you, uh, have India where you're from.
no subject
[With that he reaches out for the jar, looking at it curiously.] I've traveled around the world a lot. India, however, wasn't one of the places I could go. The weather never agreed well with my friend.
If these are so painful why do you eat them?
no subject
Oh. Hah, right. In the time I'm from, India's its own thing now. Has been for a while. What year was it, where you're from?
[They could be from the same version of the world, just different times.]
And, I don't know, for the fun of it, I guess? You can dry them out and use them in other things, too.
no subject
I'm from 20th century. A great war just ended few years ago so it's not like I can't see those news coming true. The world is pretty shaken.
[He places the roses down on the table and opens the lid of the jar, sniffs the contents before picking out a pepper.] Let's see if they're as bad as you're painting them to be. [He laughs a little before biting the pepper, eating it whole. The smile on his face turns into more smug while he chews the pepper as if he was just eating potato chip, his tongue tasting absolutely nothing.]
no subject
Right, I'm from, like, the beginning of the next century? I think we're about a hundred years apart.
[He watches with interest as Edgar grabs a pepper, then frowns as he eats it with ease.]
Okay, how are some of you doing that? You're like, the second person who just ate one of these no problem. Is this some kind of superpower, or what?
no subject
Hah. Are you sure the gods aren't playing a trick with you here or how do you eat these? [He laughs before swallowing the pepper. Now, he's really interested to hear who the other person is.] I have my ways, don't know much about the other one.
no subject
[Unless all the other ones are duds.]
I think the other person's tongue was just broken, honestly.
[Though he is sort of trying to repress that experience, since it was extremely awkward.]
no subject
Broken how? [He says as he eats pepper whole again. That honestly sounds quite lot like him. "Broken tongue", tasting only that's useful to him.]
no subject
I don't know, she just didn't really react to it. I kinda got distracted after that. You can ask her, if you want. Her name's Rita, I think. White hair, really pale.
[Like, even pale by white people standards.]
no subject
[Rita sure left a strong first impression, that is sure. Although now he's even more interested in her. At first he had thought her just to be adventurous, wanting to meet and sleep with the supernatural wasn't that rare after all, but this implies that she's not quite all that human herself.]
I suppose it's understandable. If you believe in monster like that.
no subject
[Honestly, he hadn't read much of it, but now he realizes he should not have been surprised at the way their interaction went.]
I don't think we have werewolves back home, but I wouldn't be shocked to learn that they're real somewhere. I mean we've got aliens and stuff here, so.
[He's not giving a comment on whether or not he'd sleep with one.]
no subject
Although I have a feeling that's not what you meant. I've only been here for little bit over a month and seen plenty of strange things but nothing quite like that. I must say that it's exciting to be around all these monsters. If not dangerous.
no subject
[About them all being aliens. This isn't anyone's world but the gods, and maybe not even them.]
If it makes you feel any better, the monster-people seem to cause less trouble than the human ones.
[With possible exception of aforementioned demon lady.]
no subject
And weren't it humans who had killed his family later on.]
What about you, then? Are you one of the monster-people and eat such spicy peppers because of it?
no subject
[He has a monster in his head but that's not the same thing.]
I'm just human. With a higher spice tolerance. I hear that's genetic? So, uh, blame my mom, probably.
no subject
[He says even though his facial expression is completely opposite from being disappointed ]
We don't have monsters where I'm from.
no subject
[He's definitely lying, but listen. The Visitor, as far as he knows, is an anomaly. Which would mean monster singular.]
I'm sure if you ask around you'll meet some, though. A few of them are pretty open about it.
no subject
[Being open is like the completely opposite of what he's doing his life.]
Do they have strong community between them or something that makes them open about it? In my experience humans in general aren't too into those who're different from the general public. If just appearances are enough to rile up people I wouldn't be surprised if being a monster would wake up good old fashioned mob lynch.
[That's what happened to him, at least.]
no subject
[He's not entirely sure what Alphys is, but she sure isn't human. And so far, everyone seems alright with that.]
no subject
[Edgar turns to look at the blood bowl on the table next to them.]
History reveals that humans haven't been exactly kind to those who could pose a threat to them. I imagine some of the monsters here could be seen as dangerous.
