Event Log: The Beach Episode

Who: Everyone!
What: The event log for the transition to our new planet!
Where: The city, which has now been fragmented onto four separate islands.
When: May 27th-June 10th
Warnings: Surf's up! If by 'surf', you mean separation from your friends, weird sea creatures, and cold rainfall.

The sun and the sand and a drink in your hand- well, it all sounded pretty nice when you voted for the island planet, but ultimately what you're getting is a bit less glamorous.

The transition takes place instantaneously, with very little noteworthy shakeup, though those of you who are particularly in-tune with the supernatural may feel a bit dizzied or nauseated by the sudden movement. And that's exactly what it is: for those of you who are outside, the change is fairly noticeable, as in the span of a single blink, what used to be miles of desert is now rocky ocean. The city is simply in one place one moment, and then somewhere entirely new a second later.

And that somewhere new is exciting! The islands have plenty of landscape to explore and weather conditions to adjust to, fish to catch, and- wait, how do you get to the other islands? What if your friends or your home or the bar is on these other islands? Enjoy having to figure out who is where and how you're going to get by with only a small fraction of the city to work off of- hopefully those boats will come sooner rather than later...

The Park - 29th

[Leo had finally decided to leave the house after moping about and avoiding the ocean as much as possible. He hated the water with a passion. It was a thing that came from being a monster who was mostly made of fire. Of course, the day he decides to go out is when the rain comes in. He sighs. This is so typical. Unlike most people, Leo's temperature runs a lot higher than a normal human being's, so it isn't long before steam starts to come off him as the water hits his skin, the way it might come off hot rocks in a spa splashed with cold water. He definitely looks disheartened with this turn of events.]

I've been better.

[It's that talented musician from the network that Lance listened to a while back. He looks human enough in person, ridiculously handsome, as all Sunai are warranted to be, with only a small scar that runs through his left eyebrow to mar his appearance. There's a line of small black crosses that go up his left arm, encircling from wrist to just below his elbow. They look like tattoos.]

[Oh. Oh, it's this guy, and Lance is... A little nervous, honestly, upon realizing that. The steaming skin isn't helping that concern either, although Leo's somewhat sad expression helps counter that and Lance steps a little to the side to make room under the tree.]

It isn't exactly dry under here but it's better than nothing.

[He shakes some of the water off his clothes like a dog would before he joins Lance under the tree. There's a contradiction in his body language, the closed-off stance of someone who doesn't want to interact with people, but mixed in with the expression who doesn't get the chance to just have a normal conversation very often.]

Water. All the morons here had to vote for water.

[Someone's just a touch grumpy about all this wet stuff around.]
