Well, here you are. You've awoken on the ground of a large colosseum, with a cloudy sky above you - oh, and it might be sprinkling a little. It sure seems to drizzle a lot here, though it might take you a few days to figure that out. After the days it'll take you to get adjust to being in another world at all, of course. Welcome to Hadriel!
Feel free to walk around the colosseum a bit to try and get your bearings, but try not to trip over any rocks. They, uh, aren't rocks. This month, the Door has pulled in Lava Crabs and Rock Crabs. These confusing little things look just like rocks when they're in their shells, and they're content to stay that way... until you get close, and they come rushing out at you with their claws out, all ready to snip snip snip. Their hard shells make it difficult to hurt them, though you could always try to knock it off their back - or flip them over and attack their tender underbelly.
That's not the only thing you might trip over, either. Scattered across the ground of the colosseum can be found a variety of super cool and fashionable umbrellas. So if that drizzling rain is starting to annoy you, grab one of those and you'll be dry as dust in no time!
Once you think things are safe, feel free to leave whatever bit of safety you've found. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers June 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
Mewtwo Y | ota
[The last thing Mewtwo remembers, was being surrounded by a warm, healing light. Pokemon who had every reason to be afraid of her, gathered around her in a cave and tending to her injuries. She remembers them faintly, drifting in and out of unconsciousness.
And now she was here. Laying on a stone floor in a place she doesn't recognize at all.]
Where... am I...?
[Her voice comes out groggily, but she doesn't speak. Her voice can be heard mentally by anyone close enough to her.
She hasn't quite noticed the rumbling of rock crabs nearby yet.]
[The City]
[Mewtwo still hasn't figured out much about what this place is and how she got her. While she hasn't gotten far in exploring, she did manage to scavenge and umbrella with a cat picture on it. She... doesn't really know what it is, or how to use it even. She fumbles around with it with her big alien-looking fingers until she finds a button...
And the umbrella pops open.
She makes a startled noise, lifts up her hand and crushes the umbrella with psychic energy.
Geez, Mewtwo. What'd that umbrella do to you?]
no subject
[Says Quentin, when the psychic attack registers at the corner of his awareness, and the thing gets mentally trash compacted.
He can't actually immediately identify Mewtwo as human, so at first there's just some staring, trying to figure out if the weird cat-thing is hostile, and who killed that umbrella?]
no subject
[The umbrella clatters to the ground, in a crumpled ball of metal and fabric. And then Mewtwo sees Quentin... and immediately tenses up. She doesn't open her mouth to speak, but her voice can still be heard anyway.]
You there. Is this place your home?
no subject
[He answers, a little taken aback when he identifies her as the source of the voice.]
You've just arrived?
no subject
Is that the same way you arrived here?
[Quentin mentions the word "trapped", and it doesn't seem like this place is a trap. But then again, she barely knows anything about this place.]
no subject
[He says, nodding.]
Sorry. It're pretty deeply disorienting.
the city
they widen further when the umbrella gets crushed by. . . something? something she couldn't see.
she breathes] ...what the fuck?
no subject
I have destroyed this... weapon. You don't have to worry about it anymore.
[Mewtwo it's just an umbrella.]
no subject
Thanks. It's--nice of you to do that.
[it was an umbrella]
no subject
[Even if the item in question was no threat at all.]
Tell me. What do you know of this place?
no subject
[it could've been opened indoors. that's bad luck]
Not much. I just got here last month. But it's called Hadriel and no, there's no getting out. We have these things that call themselves gods, but the jury's out as far as whether or not they are gods. Apparently once a month, they do weird shit to us to make us feel an emotion really hard. Then, they eat our emotions.
