Event Log: Home Sweet Home

Who: All characters participating in the event
What: The event log for the Home Sweet Home event
Where: All over the city
When: June 20th-July 2nd
Warnings: Nothing bad could ever happen now that you're home

It could happen at any moment- any action you do could be cut short by a sudden trancelike state, and so hopefully it happens when you're safe in your surroundings. And of course you're safe... after all, what could happen to you now that you're finally home?

Whether you don't remember Hadriel at all, or you just believe that this entire ordeal is over, you're home for good now, which is something worth celebrating. What happens in your home? Are you treated like royalty or just cast aside and forgotten? How are your friends doing? Your family? Everything is just as it should be and it's easy to get lost in it, even for an unlucky onlooker who may find themselves drawn into your trance and able to interact with you as you mill about your world and your reality.

Snapping out of it is the only way to end this trance, and you've got to eat and sleep at some point, but how can you go back now that you've been teased with what you desire (or maybe even fear) the most?

► This log covers June 20th-July 2nd.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you die of homesickness let us know here.

"Is that so? Do you want to test it?" she fires back, seeing nothing wrong with trying.

It would be particularly satisfying to murder this asshole now that she's apparently so amused by the whole thing. And of course, it ought to be easy enough to consume the girl's soul before she gets put into some new body. The words might be unusual, but Caedra is extremely familiar with reincarnation in concept.

"If you think that'll make you feel better." This is just a spare vessel that doesn't matter; if it were one of Vincent's, then...no, this offer definitely wouldn't be accepted.

Of course, there's still the threat against violent students...

The threat doesn't matter. Caedra received multiple warnings, when she tackled that girl. She was also told that everyone in the hallway would be vaporized. So - this is a way to try out several things all at once. She makes a grab at Charles' arm, intending to drag her to that classroom.

"Sure it will. Come on, now, we're supposed to be in class, right?"

Charles immediately pulls back from Caedra before she can grab her arm-- off-limits. "I know where the classroom is," she tells Caedra, not all too gently. "Why don't you get the door?"

"I'm sure you do. Are you going to come with me?" she asks, although the tone of her voice clearly implies a warning about what might happen if Charles doesn't. She doesn't trust the girl to not just run off if Caedra turns her back for a single second. And where would be the fun in that? These faceless people don't matter. The ones with faces hardly matter but at least they seem to have some semblance of thought and emotion.

"Of course, of course." She's heading towards the classroom door, casual as anything. "After all, we don't want to end up good-for-nothings, right?" In case Caedra had forgotten the threat from earlier.

"Good."

She'll let Charles go ahead and enter ahead of her. She has no actual interest in the classroom, though, of course. She'll go in, but hopefully she'll find somewhere at the back where she can lurk and watch the others. That said, if the door opens to the side with the teacher's desk, and if that desk has a pair of scissors on it, she knows what she's going to grab.

Unfortunately for Caedra, students only have what they bring with them, and the teacher's desk is opposite, facing the door.

Charles seats herself at an empty desk, and watches Caedra very carefully. She trusts her about as far as she can throw her, right now. And it's unlikely Caedra actually wants to join in the art lesson going on...

Though if she does, students are allowed to paint flowers or current political leaders. That's it.

That's fine. A paintbrush is a fine weapon, although Caedra is admittedly disappointed that these little school art supplies aren't quite heavy-handled enough to make a more durable sort of wooden stake by breaking them along the grain. In fact, these might be that odd material again - plastic.

For the moment she opts for standing at the back of the room as she considers her options. There's a girl close at hand painting away at something that looks vaguely humanoid, though her artistic skills perhaps aren't well-developed enough to create a very convincing likeness of anyone.

Not that it matters. Caedra doesn't intend to plan this out very thoroughly, there's no point in it. She just wants to know what casual violence will result in, in this strange place. So in one fluid motion, she steps over to the girl, reaching with one hand in an effort to grab her by the shirt and with the other to swipe that paintbrush and shove the butt end of it straight into her throat.

Strangely enough, the other students don't react at all-- no panicking, no screaming. They all continue working on their art projects, even as Caedra attacks the student, who barely struggles. NPCs are weird.

An alarm blares, but this time there's no warning-- a flash of light and the dream ends.

Wasn't that fun!
