Event Log: Home Sweet Home

What: The event log for the Home Sweet Home event

Warnings: Nothing bad could ever happen now that you're home
It could happen at any moment- any action you do could be cut short by a sudden trancelike state, and so hopefully it happens when you're safe in your surroundings. And of course you're safe... after all, what could happen to you now that you're finally home?
Whether you don't remember Hadriel at all, or you just believe that this entire ordeal is over, you're home for good now, which is something worth celebrating. What happens in your home? Are you treated like royalty or just cast aside and forgotten? How are your friends doing? Your family? Everything is just as it should be and it's easy to get lost in it, even for an unlucky onlooker who may find themselves drawn into your trance and able to interact with you as you mill about your world and your reality.
Snapping out of it is the only way to end this trance, and you've got to eat and sleep at some point, but how can you go back now that you've been teased with what you desire (or maybe even fear) the most?► This log covers June 20th-July 2nd.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you die of homesickness let us know here.

Because they don't have any horses, no matter how much Fingon keeps wishing.
]They'll get the mad polymaths on it once they get bored of boats.
But, [he repeats, absently tugging on a braid as he thinks. It's a very intact braid- in fact, Fingon looks more real and solid than he has for most of this conversation.]
But.... [He considers, sighs, and shakes his head.] I was looking for you. There was water, I knew to look for your besides the water... but I don't think I was here....
[Does that make any sense?]

This is clearly a serious lack and they should totally petition for horses.
]Or they could try and build it themselves surely it can't be that hard.
... right?
No. [ Maglor agrees, confusion on his face ] I'm... I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to be here at all. Weren't here. Is... there was water. I know I was listening to the waves but... [ But the Song of the waves is wrong ]

This is the sort of thing the gods should already be doing, like food and water, but Fingon will attempt to forgive them because they're clearly quite dim.
]Of course! They're Noldor, they can probably...build...things.... Um. Well, they can figure out something?
Well, I'm here now, [He declares, all defiance of fate and original versions and whoever is pulling this nasty trick.] It's all right. We can figure this out.

They really are the most stupid, and Maglor wonders how anyone could belive anyone this DUMB is a god but hey. Needs must and all that.
Maglor figures as long as it doesn't fall down around their heads it's probably fine?
He blinks, startled, and then smiles ]
So you are. You were always much better at the saving than I was.

Gods. Can't live with them, can't get an ocean away from them.
]Probably! Though maybe they shouldn't show it to certain people until they're really sure it wont.
I had help. So do you, now.
[He returns a warm smile of his own, and reaches out, unthinking, to pull Maglor along.]
Come on, there must be answers some-
[And he stops, because the hand he's reached out with is suddenly much more solid than it ought to be.]
no subject
Very, very sure.]An eagle is not the ordinary sort of help!
[ Maglor retorts, and his breath catches. Fingon touches him. His dreams never touch him.
He looks up at him with wild hope in his eyes ]
Fingon? You're... alive... [ He... feels like he should know this already ]
no subject
Absolutely sure]So? Two can manage more than one is something of a general principle.
[Fingon gapes and stares back at Maglor. For a few seconds, he can't think of what to say.]
...This couldn't have happened earlier?
[Ok, maybe he could have thought of something more momentous....]
no subject
It would have been nice.
[ He agrees with a hiccup ]
Oh Finno! This isn't a dream, you're actually here.
[ Something... about that statement feels off ]
