We'll sight the shores of islands
Who: Crewmembers of the Law-Curufin-Floki sailing fleet + OTA
What: The three ships and their crews finally make landfall after many weeks at sea! Come greet your friends (?) on their return as they disembark and bring the fragments to the lab - or meet them for the first time if you've just arrived!
Where: Island shoreline, or anywhere
When: September 19th
Warnings: Will update as needed but nothing terrible expected here unless someone hugs a Door fragment too close.
Just over four weeks ago, the three boats set off in search of some of the more distant Door fragments. Under the experienced eyes and hands of a few seasoned ocean voyagers, the crew has suffered boredom, kraken attacks, stormy weather, a captain gone mad with the chaos of the fragments themselves - and perhaps most notably, a trio of Null that were waiting at one of the locations.
But as the sight of islands loomed ahead once again, they finally were sure of one thing - they had all made it back alive.">

It was probably comparable to the time in which they were away during the orbs delivery, something happened and he honestly didn't care much. It wasn't until some time had passed that he found out and it wasn't good, so what was the point?

Sure, not everyone can have an epic meltdown every time they're traumatized, and they cope in different ways. That doesn't mean it isn't worth talking about.

Copying, alright.

After they'd made contact with the Null, Rey is actually more surprised that there was an island city to return to. With how afraid the gods are of the synthetics capable of killing them with the touch of a trigger, she'd think they would want to put as much distance between them and the hivemind that's probably on the way.

It comes with a little more bite than he intends, he had more than enough time to think about those things already and going back to it is not something he wants, not at the moment, or ever. If it happens it happens.

She hasn't had the chance to scour the network to see if anyone else had any reports of the synthetics, let alone Law's open PSA about that, but she feels it worth mentioning.
Rey huffs. "Fuck, would've been pissed to be stuck on this fucking planet." Especially with the company she would've kept. In that way she's glad to be back.

"No, but you knew what you got yourself into when you decided to go there, didn't you?" Just as him, there was the possibility that he would never see them again, or that the Null would attack them (the ones away and the ones in islands) again at any moment, he hasn't forgotten that. But that's not the case and they are back and no one is really dead.
He takes a moment, and a sigh later he seems a little more tranquil.
"I'm just glad you're back."

"We all did, whether we stayed behind or left. That's why I at least went prepared." Extracting her sidearm, she grimaces when she finally pulls out the mag to check the remaining charges on the gun. Over a third depleted, with an extra to spare.
Hopefully she won't have to use it again until another Null attack, but she doesn't like the interest and concern it's garnered from both unsavory parties to the gods.
She slides the mag back into the gun and holds it at her side, a sigh of her own pushing out of her lungs as she runs down a list of places to store the weapon much in the way she hid the last godkiller. "Same. It's... good to see you again."
So don't make her tell you not to go yet you little motherfucker because she fucking missed your dumb face.

"You always carry a card under your sleeve, huh?" He says as she puts the gun away.
"Heh, even if I look like shit?" He gives her a little smirk. "Let's go in, I'll help you unpack." He should probably get going, but it's too soon. Kaiba hopefully will not just fade as other have in the next few hours.

Even on the coldest day, she is barely seen without so much as a vest; a jacket is just unthinkable.
"You look marginally less shittier than you could be," Rey gestures to the smirk on his face. At least she can get him to lighten up a little. "And thanks."
Slinging the back she has over her shoulder, she goes to head into the back room where she's been staying, Tripod riding her shoulders along the way.
