We'll sight the shores of islands

Who: Crewmembers of the Law-Curufin-Floki sailing fleet + OTA
What: The three ships and their crews finally make landfall after many weeks at sea! Come greet your friends (?) on their return as they disembark and bring the fragments to the lab - or meet them for the first time if you've just arrived!
Where: Island shoreline, or anywhere

Warnings: Will update as needed but nothing terrible expected here unless someone hugs a Door fragment too close.

Just over four weeks ago, the three boats set off in search of some of the more distant Door fragments. Under the experienced eyes and hands of a few seasoned ocean voyagers, the crew has suffered boredom, kraken attacks, stormy weather, a captain gone mad with the chaos of the fragments themselves - and perhaps most notably, a trio of Null that were waiting at one of the locations.

But as the sight of islands loomed ahead once again, they finally were sure of one thing - they had all made it back alive.">

Rey. (OTA)

When land is within sight, Rey takes her phone out for the first time in several days to send out a simple message to those who are concerned:

almost home. be there within the hour.

She can gauge the distance between the land and sea enough to guesstimate the time it's going to take.

After so many weeks being away, it's almost strange to think that she would miss this city. It's only home to her in the sense that the people she cares about are here, but if it were possible to make home anywhere else...

Well, she isn't holding her breath.

First thing's first -- she has a few stops to make as soon as her feet are back on solid ground. Earth that isn't among the myriad small stranded islands that populate this world, that is. She leaves the delivery of the fragments to the others, wanting nothing more to do with them given what she's had to deal with. Rey has already had enough madness on her life to want to spend another second in the presence of something that slowly wants to drive her own of her damned mind.

If she's greeted by anyone as soon as the ships dock, she'll appear to them to be in one piece. Albeit a little haggard and weary, she's better now than she could be. Her somewhat manic demeanor might speak otherwise, given the fragments' influence, but she won't speak of that right away. With good reason...

Caedra Nisariel | OTA

The time at sea may have presented multiple challenges, some of which Caedra could never have prepared for even if she acts like she can do anything, but the sight of the islands leaves her with a sinking feeling in her ichorous gut, as if she'd finally encountered ice cold enough to freeze her completely through. These fucking islands, how she hates them and the people on them so. And particularly, how she hates the false gods that now fill her once again with a deep, unmistakable anger.

Her first priority is the fragments. Having been convinced that collecting all of them in the lab does make some amount of sense, Caedra helps to make sure they're delivered there as soon as possible. She'll hang around, too, to make sure everyone there knows what happens if they're touched - or even hovered around for too long. Speaking of hovering, she'll probably be guilty of a fair amount of that herself. She's reluctant to trust anyone with them, in case they try to steal some away.

And if it looks like she's checking out the lab interior for any signs of alarm glyphs or other magical security, don't mind her. She would never consider doing what she's so ready to expect someone else will try. Having realized the power of these things in driving people mad, Caedra, good, wholesome, helpful Caedra, would not once consider that giving them to people would potentially weaponize some of their existing instability.

Afterward, though? She heads back to the ship to gather her few things, and perhaps drags her feet just a bit when it comes to having to go anywhere else. The Corazón was tight quarters, but it was few people, and she doesn't mind those few too much. And sailing, it turns out, is awfully fun. She wants to make sure the ship is taken care of - especially if it's needed gain.

Finally, she'll head back to her house, check up on any storm damage, and then can be found pretty much anywhere so feel free to pick a location if you've been looking for her - or if you were really glad to be free of her for the last month!

Kaiba was thrilled to finally be off that ship. He didn't regret his decision to go. This was an important to leaving, and he wasn't going to trust that to anyone else. The months worth of data he was able to collect was better than waiting and getting it after the fact; assuming it would have been collected correctly at all.

Kaiba had planned his steps after getting back almost as soon as they'd left. First, he had to return to the apartment he shared with his brother. He knew that Atem had been right deep down, but he had to confirm it for himself. He wouldn't truly believe his brother was gone until he saw it with his own eyes.

After that's done, it'll be time to get to work with the data and null parts he gathered in the lab. He has plans for the lasers he took off the defeated null. With no one waiting at home, he'll have all the time in the world to stay at the lab, with a short break here and there to make sure that his high scores are still there at the arcade.

Curufin | OTA

Curufin's crew pull their craft into the channel between West Island and South Island. This permits easy access to two places that need to be visited first off. The Door fragment needs to be delivered to Alphys at the Lab on West Island, and the crew is set to hit South Island's Speakeasy after that -- to celebrate their safe return.

Upon anchoring first off the shore of West Island, Curufin hefts the box that contains the Door fragment up on his shoulder and heads for the Lab. He's hoping to meet Kate on the shore, since he believes that she might want to take a look at this strange artifact before handing it over to the Lab people, and he has messaged her to let her know where he will be. Since the Clinic is on that same island, it shouldn't be too much of a walk to the shore to meet the Elvish boat.

After that, he'll invite Kate aboard and cross the channel to South Island to visit the Speakeasy. Besides sitting down for a drink with Kate, he also can meet anybody there who wants to see him before he gets involved in any of his other projects or takes up his regular responsibilities.

After that, he'll head home to Delight's Housing and finally to the Orchard to take stock of the situation and start planting.
