Event Log: Is It a Wonderful Life?

Throughout the next few days, you may find yourself plagued by visions and dreams of back home. The dreams will be lifelike and difficult to tell apart from reality, as the world will be constructed from what you remember of your world. However, unlike usual dreams, you won't be present, and will find yourself unable to be seen or heard by those around you.

The dreams are vivid reminders of what might happen in a world without you: a world in which you disappeared when coming to Hadriel, a world which desperately needs you back for some reason or another. You may see your parents putting up missing posters, your significant other moving onto their next relationship, or even your hated villain finally taking over the world without you there to stop them.

When the vision leaves, you're back here and nothing about the city has changed. Though maybe you have a different outlook on it now...

I'm talkin' in the like, hundreds of years range. I mean, there might be other countries that still do stuff like that? But I've never seen it.

That seems to be the common reaction. Thedas seems to be behind the times. These phones would be considered magic where I'm from.

I mean, it's only been over the past like, hundred years that our technology's really taken off like this. Once you hit that stride, it's just, like, bam. Before you know it, you'll be landing people on the moon and chatting with people on the other side of the planet in real time.

If an Age is like, a hundredish years, then yeah. People are capable of some pretty amazing stuff.

Yes, it's one hundred years exactly. I would . . . love to see such progress come to Ferelden. It could help make up for what we lost in the Blight and the civil war.

I think you'll get there. Your world's progression might take a different sort of path than mine, but that doesn't mean you can't get there some day.
