Throughout the next few days, you may find yourself plagued by visions and dreams of back home. The dreams will be lifelike and difficult to tell apart from reality, as the world will be constructed from what you remember of your world. However, unlike usual dreams, you won't be present, and will find yourself unable to be seen or heard by those around you.
The dreams are vivid reminders of what might happen in a world without you: a world in which you disappeared when coming to Hadriel, a world which desperately needs you back for some reason or another. You may see your parents putting up missing posters, your significant other moving onto their next relationship, or even your hated villain finally taking over the world without you there to stop them.
When the vision leaves, you're back here and nothing about the city has changed. Though maybe you have a different outlook on it now...► This log covers January 4th-Januray 8th.
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you try a weird solution to make it back home, please let us know here.

What the Hell. Jeez, like, this place isn't great? But I'm really glad you don't have to be there anymore.

[That's the part that stings the most, and the confusing side of it is that some of those people are here as well. Poison shakes her head, brushes her hair back over her shoulders, and gives a small smile.]
I suppose I should have warned you what you were getting into when you asked me about it.
no subject
N-nah, it-- it's fine. I mean I'm fine, not that all that um, stuff is. Fine.
[Damn he's still beefing it isn't he]
no subject
Thank you for listening.
[He's not beefing it.]
no subject
Oh well shit, that's not what she said at all. Peter stops holding his breath because he'd totally been doing that this while time.]
Yeah, um. Sure, don't mention it.
[SMOOTH]
no subject
He also reminds her of Peppercorn, a friend from home, which helps somewhat. Her patience with such things had been built on her interactions with that girl.]
Look, there's the labs. [She indicates ahead, giving him a get-out from the corner he's talked himself into.]
no subject
Oh jeez, there it is. I hope Newt doesn't have any animal chunks sitting around right now.
[Once they get up to the lab he's going to be a nice boy and get the door for her.]
no subject
[Cakes have layers.
When they get to the door, she reaches for it but he gets there first. Her fingers twitch back, then her arm drops and she ducks past him with another of those small smiles and a 'thank you' for the courtesy. Unnecessary, but sweet.]
He's always doing something. I've started bringing my sketchbook.
no subject
Oh yeah, I think it's really interesting. I bring him half that stuff, I just don't want to walk in to a half dissected liver on my table. It's a little gross if you're not expecting it.
no subject
Don't you think?
no subject
[Peter just wants a clean, organ free work space. Is that really so much to ask? The good news is that there aren't any guts on his table today, just a ton of sticky notes and tools.]
no subject
It's your lucky day. He must have other plans today. [She says, gesturing towards the (relatively) tidy work space.]
Have you decided what to do now we're here?
no subject
Peter pauses for a moment and just stares at his work space, and then starts flipping through all of his sticky notes uuuhhhh]
I suuuuure haven't. Uh... huh, I guess I should mix up some more web fluid, kinda running low.
no subject
[Record scratch. She's looking at him like she didn't quite hear what he said correctly.
Web fluid?]
no subject
[He doesn't explain just yet, now he's rummaging through some supplies and setting different bottles of stuff out on the table. One of them is a mostly empty jar of some sort of white, goopy substance which isn't actually as gross as I just described it, wow. EITHER WAY, he picks the jar up and shows it to her.]
It's this stuff. I transfer it into little cartridges and slap those into these shooters, [He reaches across the table and pulls one of his web shooters over in case she wants to look at that junk] and they shoot this stuff like spider webs. I mean, kind of. Real spiders shoot webs out of their butts, but I'm not that dedicated to the whole spider image.
no subject
Yes she definitely wants to look at it.]
Oh, I don't know... [She muses aloud.] You could combine it with your backflips. Imagine that.
no subject
Oh my God. I mean, I could? But I like to think I have at least a little bit of dignity.
no subject
If you ever try it, I want to be there. I'll record it. For posterity.
no subject
I am so not building butt shooters.
...But it could make for a good Vine, so we'll see what happens.
no subject
[She needles gently. It's definitely an amusing thought. Butt shooters.]
It could be a whole new chapter in your life.
no subject
[I mean he sounds like he's joking BUT IS HE?]
no subject
[She tips her head slightly, a puzzled expression touching her features. Oh, Peter. What can of worms have you opened now?]
What is that?
no subject
[MMMYUP CAN OF WOOOOORMS]
So... okay, so say you have a. Work of fiction, like a tv show or a book or whatever. Fan fic is just where fans of that work write their own stories about it. Y'know, for fun.
[THAT WAS relatively painless??? Yeah that wasn't so bad.]
no subject
[Very, very painless.]
I don't think anyone does that for the things I write. [That's an amusing thought, actually...] Unless Peppercorn has been getting into the archives.
no subject
Archives? How much have you written?
