I've... heard that time doesn't move forward back where we came from, as long as we're here. Not really sure how much I believe that, or if it's even a good thing if it's true? I guess it depends.

Someone also told me that we don't remember this when we go home. So it's like we never even left.

I don't know which part of that is more horrifying, that the world is paused while we're here, or that it's gonna fuck with our minds even when we've left.

...You know, I'd say that the world being paused is worse, if only because not remembering this place if we go back doesn't sound all that horrible. At the same time though, I don't like the idea of forgetting all the people I met here? So... actually, that's a tough one.

I guess it would depend on how long you're here for. If you're here for years it might be better for it to be paused, but for the people who are only here a few weeks... I dunno. I guess if you don't remember it you don't want to try and explain missing time and missing memories.

What I wanna know is like, what happens when someone who died back home ends up here? Would time stop for their world too? None of this stuff really makes any sense.

Do you think they do that intentionally? Just to fuck with us? Because I'm starting to think that they're kind of dumb and don't realize what they haven't told us.

I hope it's just stupidity and not them intentionally keeping stuff that we could use to help them from us. Otherwise we're kinda boned.

The only way I can see them keeping it from us is if it would help them, but we could somehow use it against them? I don't see them willingly sharing any weakness - that wouldn't be very smart of them.

I guess that makes sense, but at the same time, how many of us would be likely to turn on them? If we knew what their weaknesses are, we'd be able to protect them way easier.

Probably a lot more than you'd think. If people thought killing them would get them home. Or get them what they wanted.

I'm not so sure that part's even their fault, but I definitely see where you're coming from. I mean, if nothing else then the fact that they need to use us as a power source is screwed up enough.

They may not have personally brought us here, but they're benefiting from it aren't they?

Yeah, they are. That part's undeniable, at least.

So we're kind of at an impasse then. They don't trust us because we have every reason to hate them, and we're not going to prove we can be trusted because they're keeping us here as food.

It's some sort of fucked logic problem.

If we could figure out a way to make this work without constantly finding things to butt heads about, it would make this all a lot less complicated. Maybe if the being food thing was voluntary? But then there's not a lot of people here who would actually be willing to be god food. With good reason, of course.

If people got something out of it they might.

Something beyond basic needs like food and shelter. I don't know, I don't have any solutions - but we need to figure out how to coexist if we're going to escape from the Null and have any chance of survival.

I was going to say sheep because when they take things from us we don't die, but sometimes we do.

Actually a lot of people die pretty frequently. And then get brought right back because they need all of us they can get I guess.

I mean, I guess it's pretty cool that death isn't permanent if something happens to us here, but like... I don't know. Actually, I don't really know how I feel about it.
