Welcome to Hadriel. Your first glimpse of your new home is maybe not the most welcome - you awaken on the floor of the colosseum, surrounded by sand and walls and... trees? Yes, trees. Along with you and the other newcomers, a number of Territorial Oaks have arrived in Hadriel. They look just like normal trees, except for those welcoming smiles - oh, and they don't like you at all. They move fast, hit hard, and if you manage to bring one down it'll go out in a large, dangerous explosion. This may have you rethinking your stance on clear-cutting.
While you're trying to avoid the trees, you might come across a few of the other things the Door has deposited in the colosseum for your (its?) entertainment. Namely, a bunch of toys that no one has played with in years. But maybe one of them will tickle your fancy?
Once you've finished indulging your 90's nostalgia, feel free to look around. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers February 10th-14th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Now, that same young man is standing alone within the city proper, and she stops short a distance away. ]
Rhaegar. [ He may not remember her at all, considering the way that the Door toys with their memories. Still, she will introduce herself again, learn about the famed Dragon Knight, see if he is truly the man Lyanna painted him to be. ] Rhaegar Targaryen.
[ There is no mistaking that she is his kin, between her silvered hair and unique eyes, but he'd never seen his baby sister, after all. She's more likely to be a complete stranger to him...as he is to her. ]

Was this her? The sister Lyanna had told him about? The one he hadn't lived to see born...]
... Daenerys? [Rhaegar asks carefully, unsure, but so hopeful.]
no subject
I am. And...I am glad to see you. [ "Again," perhaps? ] Your Lady Lyanna is here as well. [ Alongside your son. ] I...
[ There's a slow exhale. What can I say to him? ]
Are you-...well?
[ As much as he can be, all things considered? ]

[Rhaegar admits quietly, so distracted by looking her over. She looks so much like their mother that it was stunning him.]
She told me of you. That I had a wonderful sister, campaigning to retake the Seven Kingdoms. That she is strong and good... I can hardly believe you're before me now. The last time I saw you, you were but a dream for the future growing in our mother's womb.
[Slowly, almost absently, he reached out to gently touch one of her curls.]
You have her look to you.

[ Lyanna must have been - relieved, to say the least. After Rhaegar had appeared and then vanished again after only a few days...well. They'd all felt the loss of a potential reunion keenly. ]
She said - all that? [ Dany is visibly surprised, and her expression turns a bit meek. ] ...We have not spoken nearly as much as we ought to, but she told me of you, too. That you are all the good that I have heard, and none of the lies spread by the Usurper.
[ Gods. She can even see that it's true in his face. Hear that it's truth in his voice. ]
I...am glad to hear it. [ Absent-mindedly, she runs her thumb over their mother's ring. ] I wish that I could have known her. [ ... ] I am grateful for the chance to know you here, outside of our time.
[ And Viserys? She isn't sure what the brother who had been half-mad when he'd died might think of the long-dead Rhaegar brought back to life. ]

[Rhaegar smiles at her, thrilled to know she was glad to see him, that she didn't believe any of the hurtful, horrendous rumors spread about him.]
I would like it very much if you and Lyanna became close. My beloved wife and beloved sister, friends. In your own time, of course.
[He shifts his harp in his hands, thinking he might need to write a song. Something about togetherness, about family and happy reunions.]
Tell me, what became of Mother? And of Viserys?
no subject
[ Particularly considering what she knows now about Jon (or, Aegon). ]
She died giving birth to me at Dragonstone. Viserys and I were taken to Essos, where I was raised.
[ There's a pause, and then she glances downwards briefly, considering what - if anything - to admit to his newfound sibling. ]
...Viserys lost his mind to the madness, in the end. I will tell you more of it, but - later. We can speak of that and more.

... she was frail. Lost many children between myself and Viserys, between Viserys and you. She hadn't the constitution for childbearing.
[He takes in a small breath, trying to quell the heaviness in his heart.]
And you were raised well? Protected?
no subject
[ She can remember well enough the difficult of those years. Of the "Beggar-King" and his sister, street urchins with a claim and nothing else. ]
Magister Illyrio of Pentos eventually took us in and gave us food and shelter. It was...very sweet, when we lived there.
[ More or less. Viserys grew more and more twisted, and Illyrio intended to sell her of as a bride to the Dothraki, but it could have been much worse for a young girl... ]

[It doesn't seem to surprise him that they were unable to find any to rally and supply them with aid. It feels likely to him that even across the Narrow Sea, Robert Baratheon's poisonous vengeance could be felt.]
I suppose living such a life, before being taken in, took a great toll on Viserys. And with a young sister to care for... [He sighs.]
Had I only deposed Father sooner. You both wouldn't have been made to suffer that way.

[ Something she's done a few times over in her own life, Dany hopes. ]
