Welcome to Hadriel. Your first glimpse of your new home is maybe not the most welcome - you awaken on the floor of the colosseum, surrounded by sand and walls and... trees? Yes, trees. Along with you and the other newcomers, a number of Territorial Oaks have arrived in Hadriel. They look just like normal trees, except for those welcoming smiles - oh, and they don't like you at all. They move fast, hit hard, and if you manage to bring one down it'll go out in a large, dangerous explosion. This may have you rethinking your stance on clear-cutting.
While you're trying to avoid the trees, you might come across a few of the other things the Door has deposited in the colosseum for your (its?) entertainment. Namely, a bunch of toys that no one has played with in years. But maybe one of them will tickle your fancy?
Once you've finished indulging your 90's nostalgia, feel free to look around. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers February 10th-14th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Yeah - [ get out of here, it's definitely a sentiment he can relate to. his legs are shaking under his weight at first, but that doesn't seem to stop him. ] Go, I'm behind you.
[ he has no idea what a woman's doing in this mess of a battlefield, but he has no intention of worsening the danger she's in by slowing her down ]
no subject
He might want her to go, but Jo's never been one to leave anyone behind. As soon as she notices how much he's struggling she moves in, ducking to tuck herself under his arm and help brace him up.]
Come on. I can get us to the way out.

he grits his teeth and follows along, gaining speed with every step. ]

She's pretty sure the trees are too big to get into the tunnels, but she keeps him moving until they're on the street outside the arena. It isn't a quick journey with him stumbling, but she doesn't care.]
You okay? We should be good out here.

[ fine is a gross exaggeration, but he does feel physically - well. which is strange, but he's not about to complain about that. maybe one of the doctor's experiments worked - if that's the case, better he be out of the bastard's reach, the last thing he wants him to know is that he was right about something.
he looks around - he didn't get a good look of the base as he was brought in, but the look he did get looked nothing like this ]
Where'd you come from? [ some kind of civilian resistance force? she sounds american. then again, if steve were a dame, bucky's pretty sure he'd do the exact same thing. ]
no subject
She shrugs at the question, looking up and down the street as she ponders.]
Depends on when you're asking. I've been here a while.
no subject
he's visibly confused by her answer, but chalks it off to the state he's in. he probably missed something. ]
Where's rendezvous? [ she has to be here with someone, right, and maybe that someone got some of his men out, too. ]
no subject
Jo gives him a look at the newest question...And she had heard him mumble something about a sergeant before she got to him.
What had he been in the middle of back home?]
There's no one coming. You're already here.
no subject
her response only confuses him further. already here? he can't wrap his mind around her being the entirety of the rescue efforts - even if there was a rogue element, it would be more than one person, surely, who would be stupid enough to charge a hydra base all on their own? he only knows one guy dumb enough to do that, and even he's not that stupid. he. thinks.
it doesn't quite look right, though. the entire layout of the base seems gone and the damage levels don't seem at all consistent with a recent bombing. there are no bodies thrown about of hydra soldiers or of captives. everything feels off and his gut doesn't seem to like any of this. ]
My men - [ he tries again ] what happened to everyone?
no subject
Jo jams her hands in her pockets and stands stock still.]
They're not here. Probably. You can look on the phone. If they're not here they'll be back home.
