Intro Log: Ugh, Talk to the Hand

What: The intro log for February
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: February 10th-14th

Welcome to Hadriel. Your first glimpse of your new home is maybe not the most welcome - you awaken on the floor of the colosseum, surrounded by sand and walls and... trees? Yes, trees. Along with you and the other newcomers, a number of Territorial Oaks have arrived in Hadriel. They look just like normal trees, except for those welcoming smiles - oh, and they don't like you at all. They move fast, hit hard, and if you manage to bring one down it'll go out in a large, dangerous explosion. This may have you rethinking your stance on clear-cutting.

While you're trying to avoid the trees, you might come across a few of the other things the Door has deposited in the colosseum for your (its?) entertainment. Namely, a bunch of toys that no one has played with in years. But maybe one of them will tickle your fancy?

Once you've finished indulging your 90's nostalgia, feel free to look around. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[ Relief is a good word for the look that crosses Finn's face. A subtle (...for him) perking up.

He was totally fine to do the noble thing in this regard, he was prepared to do his best distance-keeping, but consider: given the okay, he would absolutely rather get to just be around Chyler again. She's still her. Whatever the differences are between her universe and the Chyler he already knows. ]

Almost a year. They got their portal fixed before we got all the way there.

[ Would Finn have figured out a very Extra anniversary gift? Probably. I like to think he sent Chyler 1.0 to Atlantis with her own riot baton. ]

Did a lot of paperwork together. I won't say that was fun, but we were pretty good at it.

[ A riot baton which she thanked him for with a ferocious hug and a kiss on the cheek. She probably left him with a necklace with a pendant that looks like a tiny Atlantis.

This Chyler, though, tries to imagine what it would be like to have been friends with this man for almost a year. She's known her squad for almost as long, and they're family to her. They might as well be blood.

Somewhere, some other version of her probably called Finn family. She feels an odd prickle of goosebumps across the back of her neck. She's not unsettled, exactly. Maybe jealous would be the better word.

At the mention of paperwork she gives a tiny, tiny smile. ]

What kind of paperwork?

[ Well, there's an expression he's missed. To be said about all of her expressions, likely as not. Finn will take that inch and offer back a veritable mile of smile power just by comparison. It's not hard to do, but still. ]

Mission reports. It was just the one city, but we usually wound up with a lot to take care of. I could give you the highlights sometime.
