What: The intro log for July.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: July 10th-15th
Warnings: Deathclaws. That's all you really need to know.
As usual, the new arrivals in Hadriel will be waking up on the dirt ground of the colosseum, and as usual, they won't be waking up alone. This month brings coat hangers of all shapes and, uh, sizes strewn about the colloseum floor around all of the new arrivals.
Get up, get out, meet and greet, find some new exciting interior decorating options, but don't forget about the more prominent threat: the (newly) local deathclaws roaming about in the inner halls of the arena. These deathclaws are vicious bipedal creatures with long arms ending in curved talons, horns ripe for goring and, of course, teeth as long as fingers. These animals have been engineered to be as deadly as they can possibly be, so you might want to buddy up before taking one on.
Have you escaped from the deathclaws? Made a few friends? Not died horribly? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers July 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Perhaps. But don't you hate promises?
[Don't put off the inevitable Sans. Him, out of everyone, knew how much energy was wasted by doing that.]
no subject
[His grin's still jovial. The words are anything but.]
no subject
Very well. Unless it happens, whatever our 'score' is will remain.
[Chara's words sound a bit stiff, but they aren't annoyed. It may happen in the future. It may happen with someone other than Sans. He said the others could come in. Boss fights that are pick and choose could be fun too.]
Is there anything else you wish to ask me?

[He turns away, hands wedged in his pockets. Oh look, there's a handful of new monsters slinking inside. Bipedal, scaly, claws hooked and aquiline. That's interesting. He doesn't care.
He watches a few of them meander. They'll probably notice the two of them at any moment.
He turns to face the kid, and winks.]
But I won't.

[No longer required to make a long speech before a fight. But Sans has lost their attention for now, focused on the new monsters. Up close they are very different from the monsters that Chara knew. These ones looked like they could actually kill someone.
* Deathclaws slink closer! Soon, anyway. Chara's grip on their weapon doubles just in case.]
no subject
[He shrugs.]
Different rules.
[Good luck getting EXP from those things. They might not even have real mass. Who knows? It's hard to tell with this place.]
I'll leave you to it.
no subject
No action from you? Lazybones.
[It's strange, but it sound like they're just ribbing him. Chara begins to observe the creatures so more before slowly moving forward. Be proud. Thanks to Sans, they know charging forward over and over got them nowhere.]
no subject
Well, you know. I'm not a monster of action.
[They'd know, wouldn't they? A hooded figure watches from afar. Etcetera.]
no subject
But meanwhile the Deathclaws are sniffing around. Dust is a scent, isn't it? Gets up your nose and makes you sneeze. Stays there for days. Chara knows that. And those creatures can smell it, can probably hear them talking. A walking dog toy and a child with a knife.
Chara raises their knife. They were probably coming any minute now.]
no subject
That's until Hope brings them back, that is. Or would Rage be more appropriate for something like them? Someone...something. Ah. Getting caught up in semantics again, isn't he?
Silly him.]
See ya around, kid.
[Should Chara look his way again, they'll find him gone.]
no subject
Did he hold onto the hope that Chara would stop there? Or perhaps it was a different sort of void altogether that had swallowed Sans.
But now wasn't the time to get philosophical. Facing Chara was, luckily, one Deathclaw. The child drew their knife. Even if they had to run after awhile because the monster provided to be much stronger than they thought, they were still laughing.
This was so much fun!]
