Intro Log: Death Comes

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for July.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: July 10th-15th
Warnings: Deathclaws. That's all you really need to know.

As usual, the new arrivals in Hadriel will be waking up on the dirt ground of the colosseum, and as usual, they won't be waking up alone. This month brings coat hangers of all shapes and, uh, sizes strewn about the colloseum floor around all of the new arrivals.

Get up, get out, meet and greet, find some new exciting interior decorating options, but don't forget about the more prominent threat: the (newly) local deathclaws roaming about in the inner halls of the arena. These deathclaws are vicious bipedal creatures with long arms ending in curved talons, horns ripe for goring and, of course, teeth as long as fingers. These animals have been engineered to be as deadly as they can possibly be, so you might want to buddy up before taking one on.

Have you escaped from the deathclaws? Made a few friends? Not died horribly? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[Ushahin is a strange one and no mistake. He pushes a lock of blonde hair that has fallen into his face back into place as he watches the boy head back towards the arena, and hence, back towards the deathclaws. He calls after him.]

Good luck, Corbin.

[Was it any real surprise that he knew the boy's name without being told? He doubted that the teen would find his way back if nobody else had discovered the trick. Still, there was a first time for everything and such knowledge would be worth quite a bit to the one that discovered it.]

[Given that the man (sort of) claimed to have the Sight, and had was just plain uncanny in a way that Corbin recognized a bit from when his granny was being particularly Witchy, he wasn't too surprised that the man knew his name.]

[But he turned around anyway]

If'n you get t' know my name, it's only fair I get one t' call ya.

[It's only fair had been one of the surefire ways to get something from his granny, at least when it really had been on the side if fairness. A great believer in balance, was Ravenna Blair]

[That was a fair exchange to the half-man. He tipped his head in acknowledgement, but didn't offer either of his hands to shake.]

I am called Ushahin Dreamspinner.

[A fitting enough name for one who could reach into the minds of others.]

Ushahin. Thanks fer the help, mister. If'n I do end up stickin' round, it's been good meetin' ya.

[And with that he waves and heads off back into the Colosseum to try and find his way back home.]
