Intro Log: Death Comes

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for July.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: July 10th-15th
Warnings: Deathclaws. That's all you really need to know.

As usual, the new arrivals in Hadriel will be waking up on the dirt ground of the colosseum, and as usual, they won't be waking up alone. This month brings coat hangers of all shapes and, uh, sizes strewn about the colloseum floor around all of the new arrivals.

Get up, get out, meet and greet, find some new exciting interior decorating options, but don't forget about the more prominent threat: the (newly) local deathclaws roaming about in the inner halls of the arena. These deathclaws are vicious bipedal creatures with long arms ending in curved talons, horns ripe for goring and, of course, teeth as long as fingers. These animals have been engineered to be as deadly as they can possibly be, so you might want to buddy up before taking one on.

Have you escaped from the deathclaws? Made a few friends? Not died horribly? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

No idea. [ If she knew that, there'd have been better use of Sharon's powers, probably. ] Best guess would be the Colosseum, since everyone seems to wake up there. Haven't seen owt from it, though.

It seems like once these creatures clear up, we should explore the Colosseum more. [ yes, "we." You're getting roped into this, Kate ]

What makes you think I haven't already? [ Lmao, because you avoid this place like the plague, Katydid. She exhales and continues; ] S'pose I can help out.

I suppose so. It would be silly if we all did this by ourselves, after all. [ and...he's not going to admit that he misses having friends but wow does he miss having friends. ]

You could always use th' network and ask for people. [ Shrug. It tends to work out pretty well. For all the things you coul say about the people here, they're willing to help each other out to investigate or make this place more tolerable. ]

[ Use the network = use connections here, in Victor's mind. He...still doesn't really know about the phone network. ] I think I will wait until I'm a bit better established before putting together the raiding party.

[ He'll learn. ] Prob'ly best. [ The people were helpful, but it's good to take your time learning the layout of this place before diving into schemes.

Says the girl who went a solid month in this place trying to find a way out. Hypocrite, much? ]

Speaking of being better established, what sort of essential tips would you give to any new arrival?

Don't die. [ Okay, bad jokes out of the way... ] Try to not piss off the gods. Make sure you have a hobby. [ Otherwise you're likely to go stir crazy here. ]

[ Make sure you have a hobby. That's...well that's gonna be interesting, Victor doesn't really have a hobby. Note to self: find a hobby. ]

Most of my hobbies won't really be applicable in this world. After all, it's hard to read poetry when there seem to be no poets. [ This place is abandoned as hell, yo. ]

There's a library. [ which she has never visited and therefore does not know that it is full of useless books and languages no one here knows. ]

BUT HELL YEAH, LIBRARY, that is his jam and his tiny little nerd eyes light up with excitement. ] Well! It seems I've found what my hobby shall be.

[ who said anything about concrete, the best location for running is the rooftops. obviously. ]
