[Adam spends a decent amount of time at the clinic, helping out where he can, and he's pretty familiar with the majority of the staff. So he's not quite sure what to do with this stranger walking around like it's his house. Of course, it'd be silly to turn down trained help when it's already thin on the ground, but - who knows if this guy is trained, or if he's just some random guy pretending to know what he's doing?

So he approaches, rather carefully just in case Victor does turn out to be batshit.]

[ As Victor spots Adam, he turns around, looking him over. His expression is a bit unreadable, though there's a small frown on his face. The boy is young...but then, Victor started his medical career young as well. So, he gives Adam a small nod. ]

I am. I met Miss Galloway and Mister Hakkai when I arrived—the two mentioned the clinic, I agreed to work. My name is Doctor Victor Frankenstein.

[ said just oh so casually, as if he's not expecting the fact that he's Victor fricken Frankenstein to be a problem. ]

[...oh. Well, okay. Adam's heard stranger things, and the saddest part about that is it isn't even an exaggeration. It takes him a moment, but he nods.]

Great, we need more doctors. I'm sure you'll be a big help.

[He opens a few cupboards, pulls out drawers. It's organized, definitely, but this was meant to be a house rather than a clinic - it's all stuck in places that are a bit odd.]

Honestly, though, there isn't a lot of surplus. Finding things for the clinic takes help from everyone.

[ Thankfully, Victor keeps his biting criticism of the layout to himself. ]

Perhaps the items are scavenged from the decrepit buildings? Or maybe your gods are actually useful and bring up supplies as well as people? [ note the your gods. Mr. Atheist isn't entirely sure how he feels about the gods yet. ]

There are supplies in the shops sometimes that'll work, and we can make bandages out of some of the clothing. The shops are supplied by one of the gods, so... yeah, I guess they can be useful.

[Adam's not terribly fond of the gods himself, and he's not sure they actually are gods, but whatever.]

I don't know if I'd call them mine, though.

It seems silly to put clothes in a shop if no one is to man the shops. [ Though that brings up a different idea. Victor does have a question about the shops, now that he thinks of it. He mulls things over for a bit before asking. ]

Is it possible to request what sort of clothing the gods put in shops?

[ Partly because of texture. Partly because Victor still doesn't really GET short sleeves. ]

We have no form of currency or monetary system, so we don't really need shopkeepers. I'm not sure the gods understand what those things are.

[Maybe they never had commerce here? Adam has no idea. He doesn't really mind the absence of money, though.]

I've heard that you can ask them for something specific. They might ask you to do something in exchange, though. What are you looking for?

[ To Victor's credit, he does look a bit embarrassed when he says this (because he KNOWS it's such a stupid request). ]

I...well, I am looking for more shirts with long sleeves. Preferably with buttons.

[ Look at this man, Adam. Not only is he 1890s, but Victor gives off an air of 'wow I really need to get laid.' ]

[Seriously, what a nerd. But hey, it's ok, Adam is best friends with the kind of nerd who wears pastel polo shirts and khaki shorts, he doesn't think Victor's doing so bad.]

If you search through the shops long enough, you might find something. If you're really lucky, it might even fit. But I heard there are some people here running a sewing shop, so maybe they could make something for you.

I don't mind. I don't know a lot of people who are looking for exactly those kinds of shirts, so they're bound to be floating around somewhere. And anyway, you'll be helping out here, right?

[ and his...lack of skills in certain areas, did you know Victor can't punch? ]

Besides, I honestly wonder how many people here have proper medical training? Most of what I've seen involved some sort of healing powers.

Ah... well, you might be the only one. Dr. Banner isn't a medical doctor, Hakkai uses magic, and I only know basic first aid.

[Which is probably obvious, since he's an eighteen-year-old kid.]

I don't know about the others, but you're the first actual doctor I've met here.

[ And he just...kind of pauses at that. Because what. That's not reassuring in the slightest. ]

Well, it seems the obvious solution to this is to teach you more advanced procedures. That is, if you want to, of course.

[ Victor's still in his twenties, things like "age" doesn't really matter to him. ]

[Back home, that would require actual training, tests, years of studying. Adam's pretty sure, anyway. Here, apparently it's totally okay for Victor Frankenstein to just say he should learn. And possibly the most upsetting thing is that Adam is considering it.]

It would help a lot to know that sort of thing, but I don't know if we really have the facilities or supplies necessary. And - well, I imagine it's a lot different than bandaging wounds or fixing cars.

[Both things he's pretty good at, and a far cry from anything advanced.]

Considering I honestly don't know how cars work, it might not be as different as you think.

I think there's considerably less blood. Also, usually no one's life is on the line.

[But when you get right down to it, it is just putting pieces of things back together, at a basic level. Adam's not sure he buys that, but it's somewhat convincing.]

I guess I'm up for trying anything. Who knows when you might leave - the more people who know how to do something, the better.

Especially since this place is crawling with monsters, [ Victor adds, with a small little sigh. ] I doubt you'll be doing full surgery any time soon, but the ability to stitch up smaller wounds would certainly help.

I've done that before, but only on a shallow wound. Also, I had no idea what I was doing.

[It worked out?? Sort of. No one died, the bleeding stopped, Adam mostly didn't freak out.]
