In the early morning of August 23rd, a siren will sound. No need to worry, this isn't your usual siren- instead of the ear-piercing sounds of the Silent Hill event (thanks, Sharon), the music that plays over the city is a short, happy tune.
Is that a rainbow above the buildings? Why is everything so lush with grass? You wanted water and now candy has popped out of the faucet instead- that's bound to get annoying after awhile. Welcome to the Loud Valley event, which plays nice, happy music, showers you all in flowers, stuffed animals, cake, and smiling emojis, and gives you your very ownmonsterer, companion to play with!
Each character will be getting a companion for the duration of the event, something which, like in Silent Hill, is a reflection of them- but rather than reflecting their fears and flaws, this companion reflects their positive qualities and happiness. The animals will appear to characters when the sirens sound and will be more than happy to just chill out with them, whether by getting some nice pets and cuddles, following them around, or meowing/roaring/barking/hissing/etc at them for some much-needed attention.
Enjoy!► This log covers August 23rd-August 30th.

The wolf keeps bringing it back no matter how far he throws it with a very gentle touch. Sans might feel a prick of teeth or the odd sense of saliva but other than that it was nothing but careful.] Rather mild compared to most of their little games.
Yet I can't help but wonder how many strings are attached. Will they remain this way or turn on us eventually when we're comfortable enough with them.
no subject
That's a pretty dark thought, don'tcha think? I'd hate to imagine the sick sense of humor someone with that idea might have.
no subject
Seeing how these gods have already taken someone dear to me and made an image of them into a monster that was bent on absorbing me into its body? You'll forgive me if I occasionally consider what dark thoughts and sense of humor they can spawn next. [Ironic even seeing as the Earl and his kind made monsters out of souls that walked in human skins and mimicked them.] It shouldn't have been able to touch me at all and yet it was fully capable of devouring me completely.
no subject
So, you know. Fair enough. Sans concedes the point with a fluid shrug.]
Gods are fickle fellas, I suppose. This whole shebang seems pretty harmless, but I wouldn't say it couldn't turn ugly at the last minute.
no subject
It followed me no matter where I want or I how made my way around this town. I can walk through structures or underground slightly and it would find me eventually. Humans are fickle. Gods just get bored with themselves easily.
no subject
Aw. Well, bless.
But something about his phraseology pulls at Sans's attention.]
You walk through structures, now? Don't suppose you mean that in the colloquial sense.
no subject
In this world no one was hiding and he found it best if he didn't keep his own secrets or hide as well. Normally he blended in and acted normal or human like. In this underground no one was really normal. Being normal without powers made one stand out. Yet he'll keep his more hidden and dangerous powers to himself unless he had to use them.] Quite literally through. Anything I want to essentially. Walls, floors, ceilings, people, animals, water, the air...

[He watches him through lidded eyesockets, wondering if this is yet another person who occupies their time by spying on others with undue interest. He'll have to add that to the list that is starting to get concerningly long.]
You make this a pastime of yours?
no subject
[He's pulling it from Sans' stand and without unwrapping it his fingers will dip inside and pull it free without the wrapper coming undone. He then proceeds to remove the stick in the same manner without a single hint of damage. Then his fingers slide into the lolli itself and where he touched will be a nice stain of red of his fingers as the coloring from it alone just bleeds down his fingers as he chooses to touch only the coloring and not the actual candy. He'll let it keep dripping until it is almost white.]
But no, not exactly a pastime. It is part of my daily life because I am use to using it. Out in the world I wouldn't normally be this open. Here among others that have special properties there isn't a need to hide. Not when I've already been sniffed out by another and ousted by someone else for Rage's little fun times.
[Though like everything he was showing Sans on a complete whim. He just felt like it.]
no subject
So I take it you're not human, huh?
[The question is launched with a deceptive casual, personable delivery. He's pretty sure Tyki identified himself as a human in their first interaction, but no human he's met has exhibited such fine control over magic.]
Or if y'are, you're one with a very unique handle on your type of magic.
no subject
It depends who you are asking. I am classified as a Noah, an enemy to humans. Yet I was human and I technically still am. A gene simply woke inside of me and made me into what I am now. [In other words he wasn't exactly lying.]
no subject
[That makes three, now. Kate, Wanda, and now Tyki. Seems to be a common thread. Maybe their world's equivalent of the magicians who sealed the monsters Underground.
They never did elaborate as to what happened to those who possessed magic.]
no subject
[He was noticing that as well within others. Exorcists got their power from Innocence but the Innocence came with a heavy price and it controlled them. Here people wielded powers they were born with from simple fire spells to full transformations. It fascinated him to a point.] But if you asked any human on my world that is aware of us they wouldn't say we were human. We're monsters. Infections. Things that should be destroyed. [Well, all but that strange boy Allen Walker.]
no subject
[Monsters had been the same way, after all. He's fairly sure that it was that sort of sentiment that led to the inevitable War and sealing of monsters Underground. All for the crime of being something unknown and different.]
no subject
[Sitting down on the ground with his back into all this fur is making him extremely comfortable and cozy. It's hard to keep his eyes open as he leans his head back and rests his hands on his stomach. He's cocky and feels safe so he's not alarmed to much of anything.] Cursed.
no subject
[Not that he'd know how that feels or anything. Ha-ha. Nope. His tone is about as neutral as it gets for him, which is to say very, if profoundly pleasant as always.]
no subject
[Allen Walker was someone even he wanted the attention of if only to kill/capture. It was a complicated matter.]
no subject
[Reminds him of someone who stood in the line of fire with his arms outstretched in a hug of acceptance that went ignored. Who spent his last living moments as a disembodied head, proclaiming boldly that he believed that his murderer could do better, be better, than the destructive scar across the world they had formed themselves into.
Reminds him of a lot of things.]
no subject
But I've prattled on enough. You likely want to get back to your nap. I don't mind taking one myself. With this one around I don't feel much of doing anything.
no subject
[He won't press the point. He can feel the sweet call of another nap, which isn't particularly new - he always feels the nap's siren call, and he always obliges.]
Eh, you know me. I'm always sleepy.
no subject
But he says nothing to that with a nod and a smirk. Sans wasn't human so he technically didn't count on who he would eventually kill in his world. It was complicated. Still, his personal thoughts were far compromised. He liked Sans and he hoped he wouldn't get in the way if something else influenced his decisions in this place.]
You're getting too dangerous for me. I'm starting to pick up on your bad sleeping habits of dozing out in the middle of nowhere.
no subject
[His grin is unwavering as he spreads one hand, palm up, a guilty-as-charged equivocal gesture.]
But you meet the most interesting people that way.
no subject
[Not that he minds. Nothing could touch him while he slept except what he wanted to but he would eventually awaken restless and wander away.]
no subject
[He lets his eyesockets droop shut as he says it, and in a matter of seconds he's snoozing contentedly, his cat curled beside his skull.]
