Intro Log: Don't Wake Tonberry

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for September
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: September 10th-13th
Warnings: Cute monsters, a way to pass the time, and plenty of newbies!

Waking up in Hadriel certainly has its down sides, but if this weird murdercave city is good at one thing, it's keeping people entertained. As you awaken on the hard ground of the colosseum, you might see a rectangular cardboard box lying near you. Ignore it for now, as you get your bearings, but if you get bored? Well, you'll find these exciting and unique board games will keep you entertained!

But how could you possibly get bored, when there are plenty of cute monsters around to keep you company? Sharing the colosseum with all the new arrivals are Tonberries. In addition to their natural cuteness defense, they also carry very large knives. They're slow-moving and look innocent and even friendly, but be careful - one strike from that knife and you'll be a bloody mess. They won't attack unless you get too close, but who doesn't want to hug a Tonberry? And of course, if you attack, they'll counter with extreme prejudice.

Managed to resist the urge to hug a Tonberry? Safely escaped from the clutches of the colosseum, new board game in tow? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[He doesn't even need to read this one's mind to feel the enthusiasm practically dripping off of him. Ushahin just barely manages to suppress a laugh at the sight of his eagerness.]

I think I would. I found that I enjoy having friends here.

Amazing!! Making friends with my brother's friends... The world is opening up to me!

[After all, for someone as enthusiastic about making friends as Papyrus, he had very few Underground. Papyrus clasps his hands together happily.]

You will not regret this! I strive to be the very best friend possible to all my friends! I give lots of gifts and compliments!

[His mind briefly brushes up against Papyrus and what he finds doesn't surprise him. He's brimming over with energy and a strange need to be the best he can possibly be. It's quite refreshing after the cynicism and despair of most residents in this place.]

Save your gifts. However, I will take the compliments.

[Ushahin does have a little bit of ego that could always use some preening.]

Well!! You are very cool, Ushahin, and I am happy to be your friend!! And there is more where that came from!!!

[Even if he doesn't want gifts. Well, maybe he will still appreciate a gift every once in a while. A sometimes-gift? Who doesn't love a nice gift?]

[He'll probably still accept the gifts from Papyrus, no matter what they are. Who wouldn't want something like that from a tall, talking skeleton?]

I think you and I shall get along just fine. [There's a rarity in and of itself. Ushahin and people don't tend to mix well together.] Have you found a place to live yet?

[beautyis]

[That is good. Papyrus loves getting along with people. It's his favorite activity.]

No, I have not! My brother currently lives in a house that is completely full. So I must find a less full one nearby!

[ushahin]

There are plenty of houses. My neighbors are most intriguing, even if they do occasionally get noisy. [His idea of noisy has more to do with their thoughts bleeding over into his mind than anything else.] Sans lives right next door to me.

[beautyis]

Oh!! You are his neighbor!!

[Papyrus is clearly very excited to hear that.]

Then we would become neighbors as well! Is your house full of roommates too?

[ushahin]

No. I live alone.

[He prefers it that way. Having people around, their thoughts always in his mind, would give him quite a bit of distress. It's better to have even that small bit of comfort.]

[beautyis]

[Papyrus, completely unaware of that fact, simply assumes anyone would love to live with roommates, just as he would.]

Then you have empty rooms! Wouldn't it be, hmm, cool if we became roommates?? It's like the next level of friendship!! Wow, this relationship is moving so fast!

[ushahin]

Perhaps not, my friend. I have certain abilities and having people in close proximity tends to make it...difficult for me.

[He already has trouble just with the four living right next door to him. He can only imagine what having such an enthusiastic person in his house would do. He might never sleep again from the energy boost alone.]
