Waking up in Hadriel certainly has its down sides, but if this weird murdercave city is good at one thing, it's keeping people entertained. As you awaken on the hard ground of the colosseum, you might see a rectangular cardboard box lying near you. Ignore it for now, as you get your bearings, but if you get bored? Well, you'll find these exciting and unique board games will keep you entertained!
But how could you possibly get bored, when there are plenty of cute monsters around to keep you company? Sharing the colosseum with all the new arrivals are Tonberries. In addition to their natural cuteness defense, they also carry very large knives. They're slow-moving and look innocent and even friendly, but be careful - one strike from that knife and you'll be a bloody mess. They won't attack unless you get too close, but who doesn't want to hug a Tonberry? And of course, if you attack, they'll counter with extreme prejudice.
Managed to resist the urge to hug a Tonberry? Safely escaped from the clutches of the colosseum, new board game in tow? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers September 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Red is not a "stop" color at all, Sans! When people see blue, they instantly know to stop!!
[Papyrus has found... a boxcutter! That's sort of like scissors. Maybe a little more unwieldy, but Papyrus has the patience to make it work. He starts cutting a shape out of the box, very, very carefully.]

[Aha, there we are. Blue spraypaint. If he had lungs, he'd have to wear a mask or somethin', he's pretty sure; fumes are toxic and whatnot. As it is, he just starts shaking the thing up in preparation to start painting the former-stool blue.]
Least, that's what Alphys's "human history" says.

[The shape is slowly perfected to remove any unevenness in the octagon. When he's done, it looks a little bent from the original damage to the box, but otherwise good! He sets to work on the second one.]
Aren't you going to make a stencil first?
no subject
[He pops the cap off with a phalanx and starts spraying the thing until it's pretty well-drenched in the stuff. The countertop and surrounding area looks pretty blue too, but that ain't such a big problem - blue's better than plain ol' dull gray, right?]
For what? The letters?
no subject
[The second octagon comes out much faster from practice. Now he can paint as well. He goes to take the spray paint from Sans once he's done with it.]
Yes, for the letters! And the little ring around the edge!
no subject
Doesn't have the same ring to it.]
Eh. I mean, can't you just slap a big ol' "STOP" there in all-caps and call it a day? Pretty straightforward, right?

[And Papyrus starts spraypainting his cardboard octagons, trying to be careful not to blue himself. After finishing, he waves the air around his nasal cavity. If he had a nose, it would be wrinkled.]
They ought to make spray paint that smells like flowers! Then the strong smell would not be so unpleasant.

[She could tell a lot of things better than him. But that's a dangerous road to go down, so he doesn't, and he keeps himself here instead. He starts poking around for some white paint to use for slaippng the old letters on.]
Anyway, that way people know which one I made and which ones were made by the professional.

[Papyrus sets to work making a stencil for the letters out of the remains of the cardboard box and his boxcutter.]

[Aha, there's some white paint. It's not sprayable, so he locates a brush without much trouble. A brush on the very top shelf. Of course.
He opens his left hand, and the the thing zooms downward to slam into his palm.]
no subject
[Papyrus doesn't notice Sans' retrieval of the brush. He is too busy with his stencils. Once he's done, he checks if Sans has found the white paint. He does! Well, then Papyrus will just have to wait to use it. That also gives the blue paint time to dry, anyway. Spraypaint dries pretty fast.]

[He crosses two phalanges and holds them up for Papyrus to sigh at should he so choose while he pops the lid off the white paint and slathers an untidy STOP across his recently-blue sign. It runs together a little since, wonder of all wonders, seems you're supposed to let that stuff dry before you go painting over it, but, eh. It's still legible. Close enough, right?]
