Intro Log: Don't Wake Tonberry

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for September
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: September 10th-13th
Warnings: Cute monsters, a way to pass the time, and plenty of newbies!

Waking up in Hadriel certainly has its down sides, but if this weird murdercave city is good at one thing, it's keeping people entertained. As you awaken on the hard ground of the colosseum, you might see a rectangular cardboard box lying near you. Ignore it for now, as you get your bearings, but if you get bored? Well, you'll find these exciting and unique board games will keep you entertained!

But how could you possibly get bored, when there are plenty of cute monsters around to keep you company? Sharing the colosseum with all the new arrivals are Tonberries. In addition to their natural cuteness defense, they also carry very large knives. They're slow-moving and look innocent and even friendly, but be careful - one strike from that knife and you'll be a bloody mess. They won't attack unless you get too close, but who doesn't want to hug a Tonberry? And of course, if you attack, they'll counter with extreme prejudice.

Managed to resist the urge to hug a Tonberry? Safely escaped from the clutches of the colosseum, new board game in tow? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

Guess not? [Faith shrugs.] Would make sense, wouldn't it? Never did hear anything about you going missing.

[She hopes it stays the same. That time stops, waits for them to get home. Otherwise, all their hard work and sacrifice may end up being for nothing.]

( and even as busy as Faith is at the minute, she surely would have noticed that, right? Jon would have definitely been in touch with one of the group, asking if they'd spirited her away or something. )

Thank fuck.

( Kate leans against the wall of the room they're stood in, tilts her head back. she's been more worried about that than she'd realised. )

You need a place to stay.

[Course he would've. That'd be a good assumption to make, that Kate would be with one of them. And you can bet they'd all pitch to look for her if anything went wrong.

Faith shoots Kate a sympathetic smile.] Been working as hard as ever, have you. Don't push yourself too hard, Kitkat.

[And at the rest--] Yeah. Oh -- y'think we could be roommates?

'M fine. Just- ( her tongue clicks against the roof of her mouth. it's not the work - well of course she's pushing herself. anything that allows her to distract herself is always welcome (it's not as bad in recent months. they can talk about that later.) ) - didn't know if the world was still goin'.

( so to speak. didn't know if Jon was stuck doing a job he isn't technically trained for, setting up the clinic, keeping it running. )

... Could just find your own place. ( on the other hand. it's Faith. she hasn't seen her in months and this place is a disaster. having friends nearby, in the flat, would be practical. ) But if it saves you the trouble.

( of course, our lovely chocolate bar forgets to mention that she lives in a one bedroom. what can you expect, she's stayed in nothing but studios since she moved to Denmark and then to LA. )

Still goin'. [She says it softly and with a nod. Don't worry, Kate. Things are okay. The worst is over.

Her smile fades a little as Faith frowns.] Hmm. There really that many free flats and houses? [She grimaces a little.] At least lemme stay with you til I figure out whether I want to stay on me own?

[Spoilers: she doesn't want to stay on her own. It will save her so much trouble. Also, she can keep an eye on Kate, make sure she doesn't overdo it.

And it'll keep Faith from feeling lonely in a strange new place. She misses her friend, fight her.]

Haven't heard of anyone having problems. ( Kate shrugs and rolls her head from side to side. )

Sure.

( it's that easy. because Kate doesn't want to be entirely alone either. she's had enough of it. )
