If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.
Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!
But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.
New, as of October's intro log is a Newcomer's guide that installs itself by default on every activated phone. Thanks, Mello!
Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers October 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

The dragon doesn't seem so intent on their having a conversation, however, and before Lea can get much further, the beast whirls sharply, slamming one of her mighty claws down between them. Lea leaps backward and out of the way, landing crouched to one side and turning to see if his unexpected comrade had also leapt clear.
"So!" he calls, getting back to his feet and holding his chakrams at his sides. "What's your specialty, then? I can provide some cover for ya. If you've got a gameplan, I'm happy to follow your lead, but this sucker's gonna turn the whole city into a winter wonderland if something isn't done."

"I've got these." She gives a wiggle to the lightsaber she has behind her back as a way to indicate the pair. Her skill with her sabers isn't the only thing going for her, and the way she jumps around is a good indicator of that, but she can't exactly use the Force to toss something this size away- and even if she could, there's nowhere for the dragon to go. "And they're pretty hot, but she's got tough skin and trying to hold on is giving me frostbite. Focus your fire on her face and chest and I'll... do what I can."

"And I've got these," he says, holding up the chakrams, "also pretty hot, when I want 'em to be." He gives her a bit of a grin. "I'll keep her focused on me, don't worry about that; I can be pretty darn obnoxious when I'm really trying. So you just do your worst to bring her down, and I'll make sure she's too busy trying to swat me to notice, deal?"
The dragon gives a deafening roar, obviously getting a bit fed up with the idle chitchat, and Lea twists sharply and lets his chakrams fly, aiming for the creature's face. It doesn't matter how big you are, facial wounds hurt and bleed a lot more than most others. The perfect distraction.
"I'm Lea, by the way," he says, hopping backward to snatch one of the chakrams from the air as it wheels back toward him. "And who might you be?"

"Ahsoka," she offers, glancing back at him over her shoulder. "Let me know when you need a break from being decoy."
And then she's in motion again, darting forward a few steps underneath the dragon before the dragon realizes that Ahsoka's moving for her stomach and steps back with a distinctly unhappy growl. Before she can angle her neck to get any of her icy breath slowing the togruta down, though, Ahsoka jumps. Not just out of the way, but up higher than probably looks entirely possible, feet touching what counts as the dragon's shoulder for a hop onto the creature's back. She's mostly been swinging at limbs before, but this time, her lightsabers are focused on the creature's neck. Stubbornness will get some damage done up here, she's sure of it.

And with that they split, Ahsoka going one way and Lea darting the other. He sends the chakrams flying again, just as the dragon whirls to try and evade Ahsoka's blades, and the spikes graze the great serpent's eyelid. She roars in pain, bringing one mighty claw up to her face to paw at the wound. It's not deep enough to cause any long-term damage, but they don't need it to last. So long as the dragon's attention is redirected long enough for Ahsoka to get a few good hits in, they should be all right.
Of course, it's never that easy, so Lea isn't letting his guard down. The chakram returns to his hand, and he jumps back to assess the situation again. He watches Ahsoka leap up and up and up, and he has to admit, he's impressed. She's fast and agile, and he's always been able to appreciate someone with a flair for a fight. He keeps a close eye on her posture; if she gets in a tough spot, he'll kick his distraction efforts up another notch, but for the moment it seems the dragon is too busy nursing her scratched eye.

Ahsoka's good but she can only hold on for so long at a time, eventually flicking her lightsabers off as she slides down the dragon's back, only to reactivate them again as she lands near one of her hind legs.
"Hey, Lea!" she calls out, taking a few steps back as the dragon starts to turn toward her. "You haven't noticed any conveniently placed soft spots, have you?"
