Intro Log: HOLY F*^K THAT'S A F*&KI%G DRAGON

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for October
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: October 10th-13th
Warnings: New faces, new greeting posts, and dragons. What's more to want?

If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.

Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!

But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.

[The blue goes darker, which almost makes it look like a blush. Adorable! Camille claps her hands together in front of her chest.]

You're welcome! You're very colorful. Is that rude to say? I love it!

[She tilts her head back and forth, studying Ahsoka's horn things, trying to memorize details. This is definitely a shape she'll be keeping.]

Just woke up here too, eh? Nothing better than being kidnapped! At least they were kind enough to leave us chips.

[She abruptly changes color, skin turning oranges in an approximation of Ahsoka's shade.]

[ the sudden change of colour has ahsoka blinking, dumbfounded a moment before she can remind herself that shapeshifting is indeed something that some people are capable of and come on ahsoka it's rude to stare. she shakes her head, as if to keep herself out of a daze, and offers a little smile. ]

I've gotten colourful before. My markings tend to stand out whether I want them too or not. [ which has been both good and bad. ] Are the chips any good, though? The names have seemed a little off-putting.

[Camille honestly loves it when people stare, because it means she's weirding them out. And there is nothing more fun than weirding people out.]

Ah, do they? They're quite lovely. I'm holding myself back from peppering you with questions, since that would be rude, seeing as we've just met! Seeing as we are both new to these parts, also.

[She offers her bag of gas station sushi chips.]

Oh, they're wonderful! Taste exactly like gas station sushi! Just that hint of gasoline and norovirus to make it authentic! I tried some sad college student too--tastes just like a sad college student!

[fulcra]

[ with a blink, ahsoka takes the offered chips, opening them to try one. she's not sure what to expect and even after she's tasted it, she's not sure how she feels, but it's... something. a new experience. ]

I'm glad they're authentic, if nothing else. [ she shrugs. and probably will finish this bag if camille doesn't seem to want them back. why not. ] You're a shapeshifter, right? I've met clawdites before, but never one quite so... friendly.

[notjelly]

[Weird chips are nothing if not a new experience.]

Hu hu, familiar with shapeshifters, eh? Though I don't know what a clawdite is! I'm known as an amorph back home.

[fulcra]

I see. [ she squashes down the curiosity to ask just where an amorph's abilities begin and end, gesturing with a chip in one hand. ] Clawdites are an alien race from my home galaxy. I think I like you more already, though.

[notjelly]

Aliens! From other planets, you mean? That is downright neat!

And of course you do. [She poses.] I'm likable!

[fulcra]

[ that gets a laugh, ahsoka still on guard, but appreciating the shapeshifter's candor. ]

You sure are. [ no arguments here. ] You know, most humans would consider me an alien, too. I don't exactly match.

[notjelly]

[She chuckles.] Probably helps that I'm not a human! And I'm fair used to all sorts of people that might be considered strange. You ever met a manananggal? Odd ducks, those ones.

[fulcra]

[ a pause, then- ] Actual duck-like people, or just strange?

[notjelly]

Oh, no, nothing at all like ducks! More like bats, sort of. It's a turn of phrase.
