If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.
Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!
But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.
New, as of October's intro log is a Newcomer's guide that installs itself by default on every activated phone. Thanks, Mello!
Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers October 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

"Camille! Of course I remember you! I simply did not recognize you because you looked so different! But, naturally, you look different all the time! Perhaps that should have been enough to jog my memory! Person who looks like no one I've seen before, yes... Must be Camille!!! Nyeh heh heh!" He regathers his composure and stands more proudly, effectively distracted from the nearby dragon.
He is quickly reminded when the dragon knocks over a pile of rubble down the road from them with a loud crash.
"Right! Yes! Avoidance! Very important!" he announces, taking off in the opposite direction of the extra-destroyed rubble in the hopes she'll follow.

But, yes, there are rude dragons around, and Papyrus is a guard of some sort if Camille remembers correctly. She jogs after him, trusting he'll know at least one safe place to hunker down for a bit. She has to give herself longer legs to keep up with him.
"Soooo, this just sort of happens around here, does it? That old whatsit, the door? Just opens and along with all us newcomers, some kind of mayhem spills out as well?"

He decides to lead Camille to a store, with the idea in mind that she may be hungry or something. And everyone likes stores, especially when you don't have to buy anything! Though the first few times Papyrus had to leave a few G at the counter just out of guilt before he could get used to just taking what he needed.
"Yes, well, no, not really, nothing like this. Normally there are a few not-monsters! Er, by which I mean, creatures that are hungry and likely to attack people. Some people call them monsters. Which is pretty inaccurate. But either way! I think everyone is surprised this time around. There shouldn't normally be something so big coming through the door? Should there?? I don't? Know? It's very strange, I think!"
He leads Camille down the street as he talks, and ducks into a store, holding the door open for her.

She knows intentional flirting when she hears it, and Papyrus strikes her as somewhat oblivious when it comes to that sort of thing. Maybe. Or he's just very good.
She follows after him, subtly trying to copy some bones while they walk. She's going to turn herself into a skeleton one of these days or die trying. It's just so complicated. There's way too many bones, especially small, intricate ones.
"Ah, right right. I remember. Folk in your world are 'monsters,' while in my world, they'd be 'Folk.' Funny, innit, the words people use? But I take your meaning, certainly! Nice to know that gigantic, murdery dragons isn't exactly the norm! Though, having heard what the norm is, I'm not sure it's much better."
She beams at him as he holds the door for her. Such a gentleman! Then she heads on in and immediately starts poking around, looking for anything that seems tasty or useful.

"It is a bit rude! I think! To just go ahead and call any old thing a monster! Monsters are people too!" He's a bit annoyed as he says this, but softens when he continues, "But most of the humans here do not seem to know."
Ooh, Spaghetti-O's. He'll take that, thank you very much.

"You're right, you're right! Humans are always a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to that sort of thing. Really, I think it's best to ask a critter what it wants to be called. That's the best way to go about it, don't you think?"

There's a roar overhead that Camille completely ignores.
"How long have you been here now? Have I asked that before? Amazing how fuzzy your memory becomes when you're dealing with weird shared memories and waking up in strange universes."
