Intro Log: HOLY F*^K THAT'S A F*&KI%G DRAGON

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for October
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: October 10th-13th
Warnings: New faces, new greeting posts, and dragons. What's more to want?

If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.

Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!

But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.

[Oh, hey, his brother is here! And the human seems confused! At least he is probably distracted from being angry now. But since those two are switching to video, Papyrus switches to video as well. Here's a more different skeleton for you, Connor.]

Oh! I am willing to answer questions! That is another good distraction from being angry!

Also, I am glad you noticed my tenacity! That is one of my better qualities, of which there are many! I, the great Papyrus, am a skeleton of many talents, you will soon find!

Great. You're both skeletons.

Yes, you are absolutely correct on both counts! We are both skeletons, and it is very great. You must be a human! You might say, "Papyrus, isn't it obvious that I am a human?" And you might be right in many cases! But one thing I have learned here, is that even people that look human, sometimes, are not very human at all! Isn't that interesting? Anyway, my brother and I are monsters! Skeleton monsters!

How can you say that so...cheerfully?

[truly this the weirdest part of all of it, although most of it is pretty weird for a guy like connor]

I try my best to encourage cheerfulness in general! It can be contagious!

[Well? Are you feeling the cheerfulness yet, Connor?]

Anyway, this place can be dangerous, yes, and there are those dragons right now, but that doesn't mean it can't be nice.

Why wouldn't a place that kidnaps you from home and then tries to feed you to dragons not be nice?

Well, yes, it is true that no one really asked to be here. And neither did the dragons. I think Fear actively tries to make the place not so nice?? But there are very good people here!! You will meet them!! There are people who try to protect everyone, and people who heal each others' wounds... It is an upstanding community! One that I, Papyrus, am proud to be a part of!

[connor raises an eyebrow at that. it's not that he doubts what papyrus is saying, more that...]

What kind of community were you in before?

[beautyis]

Oh, that one was good, too! I lived in a little village called Snowdin with my brother! The highlight of the town was the Canine Unit, a subsection of the Royal Guard!!

Snowed In? That seems a little on the nose.

[beautyis]

Yes, well, our King named it.

[And if Home and New Home are any indication, he's not the best at names.]

And it's pronounced Snowdin. Din. It was very snowy!

[Despite there being no... atmosphere... It's magic, okay.]

Got it. Must be weird here without the snow, then. [beat] I mean it doesn't, right? Snow in a cave?

It does take a bit getting used to. I don't... think it snows? But I don't believe it is winter yet! Perhaps we will both find out!

How long have you been here?

[because it occurs to him that this skeleton of so much pep and optimism may not actually have been here very long at all]

Only a month now! But it has been a very eventful month!
