Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for October
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: October 10th-13th
Warnings: New faces, new greeting posts, and dragons. What's more to want?

If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.

Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!

But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.

[Jill can hear Steve faintly through the concrete, but she can hear him. It's such a relief. When something like this happens, rescue parties can take days just to find the bodies... if they're even alive. Jill just hopes no one else was in the building at the time.]

I'm alright!

[She was quick to assess her physical condition, and aside from some scrapes and a bit of bleeding from those, she's without any major injuries or broken bones. So far. It's not like she's in the clear, yet.]

A little cramped, though! It's kind of tight in here!

[At least the building didn't break her sense of humor.]

Yeah, I imagine it's standing room only.

[That sense of humor is a relief. Maybe she really is as okay as she says. Steve takes a look around, finally getting down on his hands and knees to squeeze through the cracks and spaces in the debris. He stops once when a coughing fit threatens to overtake him, but it'll take a lot more than failing lungs to stop Steve Rogers from doing something stupid.

He finally comes to some wooden pallets in his path, knocking on it before he tries peeking through the slots.]

Anyone home?

[Standing was a generous notion. Jill was just trying to keep her back from seizing up as she maneuvered around in the space without bumping her head on anything.

When she hears the knocking, Jill carefully removes a few pieces of rubble and is able to see him there through the gaps.]

Oh, hello. Sorry, didn't have time to tidy up before you came over. Place is a wreck.

[At least she didn't actually live in this building before it fell on her.]

Did you squeeze through there?

[Jill tries to view the path he came from. Wow, that's a tight fit! She has doubts she'd be able to make that. Her chest alone... Ahem.]

Yeah. For once I'm almost glad to be one of the little guys.

[Except now that he's in there, he's not sure what to do. But he'll think of something. He usually does.]

I'm Steve. I don't think we've met, sorry it ha to be this way.

I'm Jill. You'd be surprised at some of the circumstances where I've met new people.

[Nothing brings people together like a zombie apocalypse, or maybe Steve's learned that from the recent one.]

Be careful. Some of it might still be shifting.

[The last thing Jill wants is to watch someone get crushed right in front of her. She gives him as much room as she can to join her in the pocket.]

I don't suppose you have a plan, do you, Steve?

Yeah? You'll have to tell me all about them later.

[Because there will be a later. He's looking around the pocket, quietly thoughtful for a few seconds after her question.]

Getting there. I'm just not sure it's a good one. [Steve looks at her again.] I can think of two options, but I think it should be your choice.

[Later is just fine for Jill, since she'd like to get out of here as soon as possible. When he mentions two options, which also sound like they might be questionable, she raises her brow and shrugs.]

Those are two more options than I can think of. What are they?

[Please don't suggest cutting off a limb or something to make her fit through that hole.]

I can either call for help to move some of the debris aside-

[Which means she wouldn't get out of there as soon as possible. Plan B?]

-or I can try to get the dragon's attention again. If I stand in a certain spot, he should aim for me and burn a hole big enough for you to crawl out of.

[It could also burn him to a crisp, and/or her with him.]

[That was the plan?? Attract a dragon, which will probably incinerate or crush them both? Forgive Jill if she's looking at him like he's crazy.]

I think the first plan is better, so long as the rubble doesn't shift. But hurry, okay?

[Jill doesn't know how long she'll last in here, and if a dragon makes any disturbances, she could end up crushed very quickly. At least she won't be taking Steve with her.]
