If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.
Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!
But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.
New, as of October's intro log is a Newcomer's guide that installs itself by default on every activated phone. Thanks, Mello!
Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers October 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

"Afraid so." Once he's moving, Jill tries to hurry them along to the exit. She doubts the dragons will be contained here for long. "I think we should get you to the clinic." He might've been injured a bit.

Feeling his feet move a little faster, light but still in motion as Jill all but dragged him along. "I've never seen a Dragon before... Myths and legend not flesh and blood... " He couldn't quite believe it was happening, still convinced that he would wake soon and be walking along the cold night roads of Wolf trap Virginia.

Now that they're moving along, they make it to the doors and proceed out. "I have to take you somewhere, and I don't even know your name, so it's a little soon to invite you to my place." A joke, Will. At least she tries to improve the mood a bit. "I don't blame you for being scared or suspicious of all of this, but the people here... they just do what they can to help each other. None of us asked for this."

He laughed a little at her joke, it was the kind of awkward thing he would have said had he been in his right mind. "A little old fashioned are we?" He joked right back. "I don't know my way around so I wouldn't know where would be best to leave me..." He felt useless, even more so now that he was being a burden to her. "I don't think I'll ever stop being suspicious of this place." And the people here.

"The clinic is the best place to leave you. At least until you get checked out and can find an apartment to claim."
Once they've gone a bit, Jill stops so they can catch their breath. "I know you just met me, so there's no reason you should trust me. But I am trying to help you. It's my job to help people. When I was in the army, a rescue task force, the BSAA... I just want to help. That's all I've ever done. Now, I just want to help you." She doesn't know if any of that is convincing or not.
"If you won't go there, then at least take shelter in one of the other buildings until this all blows over. I haven't been here long, but from what I've been told, strangeness tends to come and go."

Looking around, Will took note of the kind of buildings that were on offer, anything was better then the clinic and what were the chances of Jill letting him find his own way there if he told her he'd go? Will got the feeling that wouldn't wash with Jill. That she'd want to talk him there herself and make sure he got the right kind of treatment he needed. And that certainly wouldn't do.
"You could point me in the direction, that way you can still help people out here that might need it?" he didn't think it would work, but it was worth the try. She was nice and he didn't want her worrying over him. It did, however, feel nice to have someone want to help you for a change. Will normally shy away from other offering assistance, but given the circumstances, he was kind of humbled by her honesty.

When he suggests she just point him in the right directly, Jill laughs a little and shakes her head. Does he think she's stupid? Is it the blond hair or something? Because she wasn't always blond. "The clinic is that way." She points down the street. The place is hard to miss, so if he goes over there, she's sure he can find it. "I'll pretend like you're actually going to go there and not running off to do something stupid." The woman smiles and reaches to her belt, unclipping her phone and holding it up. "You should have one of these on you. Check your pockets. If you get into trouble, call me. My name is Jill Valentine."
But yes, she'll let Will be on his way. Jill knows that arriving here is a shock. Sometimes, you have to work it out on your own before you can accept some help.

"Oh... Okay." Will observed as Jill held her phone out to him, it took a few moments before he found where his had been placed, it was in his empty gun holster. Flipping it on and searching through the contacts to look for Jill. "I don't know any of these people," he said, as he tried to punch in a number from home, holding it to his ear as if expecting to hear it ring and for Jack to answer.

She also knows what it feels like to end up here without knowing a single soul, so she can sympathize. "You know me." Or he does now, anyway. "What's your name?"
no subject
"Will Graham." He said with a slight catch in his throat. Coughing to clear his throat. Nerves and illness getting the best of him, putting his walls up and shying away from her friendliness. He didn't mean to come across as rude and he hoped she would still think of him kindly.

Since she can't spare any more time with him, if he's not going to let her get him to the clinic, she turns to head back to see if there are others who need her help.

Making it look like he was going to the clinic, just in case Jill had too, decided to turn back and watch, Will went up to the entrance and lingered for a moment before pulling his phone out ad fiddling around with it again.
He'd wander off into the safer parts of the City and look for a place to rest his head and possibly get some sleep, Lord knows he needs it.
