Intro Log: HOLY F*^K THAT'S A F*&KI%G DRAGON

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for October
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: October 10th-13th
Warnings: New faces, new greeting posts, and dragons. What's more to want?

If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.

Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!

But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.

"Just listen! Don't worry. She is trustworthy, a good younger sister to lost souls. Even Winston trusts her, see?" She pets the dog again, not wanting the man to work himself into a furious frenzy of depression, of apathy, of not caring enough. "She'll explain, later, or when things are safe again. She'll explain how the song is strung together, every voice an instrument, every piece neatly arranged."

So. He cooperated and thus River led him, the long way, taking winding streets and occasionally making them stop in buildings, just to hear the muffled roars and sounds of fighting outside.

"This place is called Hadriel. There are Gods, and there are monsters, and there are people caught up in both. There is a Door, and it brought us here, but they don't know how to send us back. There are Gods, and something killed them once, but they won't tell its name."

Will was content to just follow her. Her strange way with words, talking in third person and seeming to know more than she should, even about Will himself seemed to calm him. Made him feel like he was dreaming, he could deal with dreams, he'd wake from them. So for the time being as she lead him through the City, slowly and stealthy, each building they stopped in the more exhausted Will became.

It was her comment about the God's that caught his attention the most. Will didn't really believe in God's himself but he knew people who did and knew enough about religion to think he had a good enough understanding on how they worked. A slight panic filled his mind upon finding out that something was powerful enough to have killed them. Here he was struggling with dragons, let alone whatever had taken the God's down.

Will paused, standing still and letting River walk onward until her arm was outstretched from where she held him at the wrist. "... I'm tired.." He uttered, sweat dripping down his forehead, his face pale and clammy, legs weak and wobbling, he wouldn't last long like this.

"She knows." Poor man, exhausted, weary, and thinking it all inside his mind. The mind is a powerful thing, she knows, but this is not the same. There is a Reason, as with all things.

Growing up with a doctor convinced her of this. Even if the Reasons cannot be found or do not seek the light of truth and knowing.

Some of that gets mumbled aloud, as she moves to put her arms around Will, using her height to get him as upright as possible. "Lean. Stronger than she looks. There's a bed, and a room, and tea."

She'll feed him tea and call Simon. Once they're home.

Will, despite himself, allows his body to lean into hers. He's exhausted. Doesn't know how much longer he can go on. With mind in ruins and body a mess, his best option is to go with the strange girl, she offers a bed and a safe place for the night... Tea? God, Will hasn't even considered nourishment or fluids, he feels nauseous and dizzy and the thought of something to fill his belly his like a catch 21.

"...Okay." Nodding lightly. His feet shuffle just enough to keep him moving on. Winston at his side, licking his limp and dangling hand as he attempts to help her guide him.
