Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for October
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: October 10th-13th
Warnings: New faces, new greeting posts, and dragons. What's more to want?

If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.

Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!

But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.

With Will clinging to him, Rashid threw them into the whirlwind, launching them several yards away. It was a risky move considering Will's condition, but it was either that or more running. And this got them much closer to the exit and far, far away from the dragon.

Before anything else, Rashid made absolutely sure their landing was as painless as possible, using another gust to cushion them. He was used to it, but he probably couldn't say the same for his passenger.

"Phew... That was the first time I had to do that with someone in tow. You okay?"

Will was most certainly not used to this! Not in the slightest. Sure, his head felt like it was in a whirlwind most of the time, but to actually be inside of one, to actually feel the cool wind lash around you, move you and in this case, protect you, was another thing completely!

Being worried about their landing was an understatement, Will hadn't even considered it yet, but now that it was happening, he was in a panic about it. Even with the smaller gust of the wind below them, Will couldn't quite believe what was going on. This man, this Rashid, what was he? How was it possible?!

As they finally touched down, and Will was beyond happy about feeling hard, soil ground below his feet again, the nausea started to set in. Wobbling a little, grasping Rashid's arm again before he starred himself. "Yea, I'm fine... I'm okay." He said, as he took a step backward then without so much of a warning, fell flat onto his back with a less than graceful crash! It had all been too much for Will, it was no wonder he passed out!

"Whoa, hey!"

The ride appeared to be too much for Will. Rashid knelt down to help him back up, hoping it would rouse the other and they could be on their way. Or maybe he would have to drag him out and find him some medical help.

Better get going, or else the dragon could find them.

Rashid carefully pulled him up, slinging his arm over his shoulder once more. "I know you can't hear me, but I'm going to apologize for a week about this. I didn't mean to get you that dizzy." He felt so awful, but they still weren't 100% safe. More like 86%. Instead of pulling up another wind and possibly making things worse, he ran the final stretch with the new arrival in hand.

Will was flitting in and out of consciousness. It wasn't all Rashid's fault, Will's condition was temperamental at best, the stress of having been in and out of those whirlwinds was simply the cherry on top of a rather sickly cake.

Mumbling something, muttering under his breath as he was pulled up and draped over the others shoulders. Will would have to remind himself to thank Rashid for actually helping rather than leaving him to die on the dirty ground.

It was the sound of a dragon's roar in the background that finally pulled Will back to the world of the living. He jumped with a startle and looked at Rashid with confusing in his eyes. Had he lost more time again? Had he blacked out?

"W-what? w-where are we?"

Oh, good. His new arrival was still alive. Rashid was genuinely worried that he did something really bad and Will croaked while he was running. He took a super deep breath and offered a grin.

"Glad you're still with us. We're outside and away from that nasty dragon." Gently (and we mean gently), Rashid lowered both of them to the ground so they could rest.

"Again, I'm really sorry I got you sick. I just wanted to get us out of there before the dragon decided to make us dinner."

Feeling out behind him as he was made to sit, Will also exhaled a deeply held breath. Leaning back and letting his head lull back until it was met with the wall. His arms flopped to his side and with a small look to his saviour, Will let out a little chuckle.

"You saved me from a dragon." He paused and laughed a little more. Clearly, he was a little shaken up and in shock over the whole ordeal. "You saved me from a dragon! I just... I had to say it out loud because this doesn't feel real!" Again a laugh, this time Will pat Rashid on the shoulder before leaning back again and closing his eyes.

"I have no idea who or what you are, but I owe you and I thank you."

That made Rashid smile and laugh along with Will. "It does sound ridiculous when you say it out loud. Not every day that I get to save people from dragons." For him, it's usually saving the world from weird technology and dictators.

"It's my pleasure, and you don't owe me at all. It's my duty as a hero to protect people. I'm just glad I could help." If his friends could see him now, they'd be throwing tweets at him left and right. "Once we're able to move, we'll drop by one of the shops to get something cold to drink." Maybe a giant soda or something.

Will looked at Rashid, straight in the eyes too non the less, something that was normally hard for Will to do. Perhaps it was the adrenaline pumping through his veins? It was a strange feeling, teetering on the verge of mental breakdown, mixed with the excitement of otherworldly experiences. Will still had to digest the fact that he'd actually, physically traveled by wind too! It was all just so unbelievable. If it hadn't just happened to him, he would have thought it too fantastic to be.

"It's not every day I almost get eaten by one!" Another laugh before he sighed and smiled, letting himself relax a little more. As he did so, he listened to what Rashid had to say. What an interesting man indeed, so he was some kind of hero? "I like the sound of that."
