If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.
Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!
But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.
New, as of October's intro log is a Newcomer's guide that installs itself by default on every activated phone. Thanks, Mello!
Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers October 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

It didn't take long for her to bash his injured hand with a leg of the stool, causing Will to drop the weapon instantly. His eyes flashed wide, the realization that he'd just made himself more vulnerable than previously. It was like cage diving with a shark, only you're bleeding and the shark is in there with you.
Making a dive for it, Will growled a sound of panic and displeasure as he gores her like a rhino. Head aimed for her middle, arms arched around her sides at full force power. Taking advantage of their difference in body size. But now what? What does he do once he'd got her? Pin her down? Strangle her? Bash her head against the floor until her pretty little brains spill out? Smash her in the face with his bare hands? No, no Will, don't think like that, that's not you thinking.
He'd hesitated, he'd allowed her to see his plan went no further than this. Shit. Shit! What now! Think Will, think! ]
Maketh wait! I- !!
no subject
He's still coordinated enough to fight back, though. Down they go. Maketh screams, find the rage and making it hers.
She doesn't hesitate. His throat is exposed, as well as his groin, and she strikes for both. Make him fucking hurt.]
no subject
He'd left it too long, let her take the advantage and boy was he going to suffer for it. The second he felt that blow to his throat, Will gasped for air. It was dangerous to hit someone in the trachea, it could close up and suffocate them, but the likelihood of that being Maketh's actual plan was probably right. Will held his hands to his throat, mouth with open in a panic as he couldn't breathe.
It was then, while straddled over her, gasping for air, that he felt the second blow of her assault. The pain was searing through his groin, making him feel sick from the strength behind that impact. Will flopped down onto the floor beside her, on hands and knees, wheezing and spluttering as his throat started to open up again. He needed to get away before she actually killed him!
He was in too much pain to move though, so instead he rolled onto his back, waving a hand up at her, silently begging her to stop. ]
no subject
His hands are up. Raised in surrender. As if to ward her off.
Threat. End him now.
No, she thinks. Stop. Just stop. He's already down. Probably broken some fingers. Possibly his skull is cracked from where she hit him.
She might have killed him. A civilian. He was a threat but she hurt him too much. Took it too far.
Maketh puts her hand on her sword, making sure Will sees her do it. But she doesn't draw the blade.] Yield. I don't--I don't want to fucking kill you.
[Threats must be contained. Civilians must be protected. Two objectives are bouncing around in her skull, endlessly contradicting each other.]
no subject
I yield! I yield!
[ He was finally able to talk, though his voice was raw and sore. Tears left little paths and trails down his cheeks. Why had it escalated so fast and so violently? Did she really see him as such a threat? As someone so unstable that he needed putting down? The thought hurt Will more than he realized it would. ]
no subject
Get control of yourself.
[It's not an option, but rather an order she snaps at him.]
no subject
I-I-I Think you should take your own damn a-advice!
[ Stuttering and stammering. His eyes flickering behind closed lids. An overwhelming amount of uneasy emotions flooded him over sensitive brain. He was in pain, both physically and mental, empathizing with Maketh as she stood over him, ready to strike. ]
no subject
[She has contained the threat, kept him from grabbing the rifle. Obviously. Maketh feels her mouth twitch and forces herself not to smile.]
You are going to the doctor. Something is wrong with you.
no subject
I'm going to rest. Then I'll consider the idea.
[ He turned to look at her. ]
I'm not your responsibility, Maketh! I'm not one of your soldiers you failed... No one is going to commend you on the great work you're doing here.
[ His nose started to drip slowly with blood as he spoke, taking Will a moment to notice it. Dabbing the back of his hand there and sighing deeply. ]
Just go... Go help someone else.
no subject
Accidents. Always. Her storm troopers had dealt with their fare share.
Maketh barks out a laugh, hand still gripped tight around her sword.]
This is not about helping you. You are behaving erratically and attempted to arm yourself. This is about preventing harm to the people around you.
[It's very simple. She'll do what needs to be done.]
no subject
Her voice drills right through him. Ears sensitive and sore.]
I just woke up in an arena with dragons! Found my dog and got the living tar beaten out of me! Of course, I'm behaving erratically, C'mon Jack!
[ Uh-oh. That was a vocal slip there. He knows he's not talking to Jack, but their conversation sounds just like one he had recently back home.
Will falls silent, calling Winston over to him, who had been hiding under a table this whole time. ]
no subject
Oh, this is just wonderful. Maketh narrows her eyes.]
You are the only one to act this way. Everyone here arrived just as you did. If you cannot control yourself, then you will be dealt with.
no subject
And how exactly do you suggest we deal with me? Are you suggesting I be locked up? Or put down for good? You can't treat a person like this, I haven't raised a finger to anyone here!
[ Apart from her of course, but that was in self-defense? Oh God, he hopes he did that out of self defence otherwise.... Otherwise, she's right and Will can't accept that. ]
no subject
[She curls her lip back.]
Either way you're banned from the armory.
no subject
[ He's got his FBI badge that Jack gave him, it's in his wallet. If Maketh's ideals and order from her home mean she's more or less the law here, then why can't Will's?
He pulls it from his pocket, flips it open and shows her. ]
You can't just lock up an FBI Special Agent just because I'm not following your protocol. Same goes for denying me a weapon... It's a federal offense.
[ He's bullshitting, but he's good at it, committed and convincing. ]
no subject
Your laws hardly matter here. And even if they did--
[Maketh gives him an unpleasant smile.]
--I would have the authority as a minister of Lothal. Seeing as I outrank you, Agent.
no subject
Never heard of Lothal, we're from different jurisdiction. If your authority as a minister is still valid in this alien land... The by all means so is mine.
[ Oh he will argue this point with her, he knows he shouldn't and she won't give in, but he does all the same. It poked and pushed at him, the way she spoke down to him, Jack had done that to him recently too, perhaps that was why he argued with her? Jack would yell as loud as he could, which would intimidate Will into silence... Maketh however, she was snarky and had that holier than thou air about her, it was, by all means, more infuriationg]
no subject
[Maketh lifts her chin, eyes hard.]
You are going to see the doctor. Are you going to walk, or am I going to drag you?
no subject
How many times do I have to tell you, I don't need one.
[ He does and he suspects he does, he just doesn't trust doctors and he doesn't know any of the ones here! Will wouldn't put it past her to actually keep word to her threat and drag him to see one. Be it kicking and screaming or knocked out cold. ]
Tell you what. You go get some therapy for your anger issues and I'll go get checked out?
no subject
I do not have anger issues.
[And if she does, she is certainly not going to discuss them in front of him. Or anyone.]
What is therapy?
[The Empire does not believe in it, that's for certain.]
no subject
That just explained everything.
[ He laughed. Of corse, she was such a hardnose! She'd never had therapy let alone heard of it. It made sense to Will now. Wow, what a harsh world she must come from. No, No Will, don't start feeling sorry for her, not now. ]
no subject
[There was a tightness in her voice that made her throat hurt, rage boiling just below the surface.]
no subject
It explained why you can go from calm hand of the law to volcano about to blow it's top. Therapy could help you control that better... It's no surprise you act like this if you've never even heard of it.
[ Still probably wouldn't be any better than saying nothing at all, but at least he was telling her the truth. ]
no subject
I have control of myself and I will always perform my duty. Of that I assure you, Will Graham.
no subject
Very well. if you say so.
[ A raise to his eyebrows. Still not convinced by her. ]
