Event Log: Keepsakes

What: The event log for the Keepsakes event!
Where: All around the city
When: October 15th-October 19th
Warnings: A bunch of random crap.

Well, Hope and Delight are messing with the door again, but at least this time dragons aren't involved, right? This attempt goes a bit better - sure, no one gets sent home, but if everyone will just look under their seats, they'll find a FREE [INSERT SOMETHING YOU MAYBE DIDN'T WANT AT ALL HERE]! Awesome! So nice! Yup, throughout these few days people will be finding things from home - something they loved, something they used all the time, something they hated, something they totally forgot they even had. All sorts of cool stuff!

Well, they might not actually find it. Their neighbor might, or a complete stranger. And who knows where it could turn up? At the park, half-buried? In the Silent Hill zone, kept safe by a horrifying monster? Or hey, maybe in somebody's underwear drawer. Awkward. Better try to find your stuff, or find the owner of whatever weird crap you found. It could be something important.

[Nick raises an eyebrow.]

From the clinic? Haven't actually spoken to him myself, though now I'm curious as to what kind of doctor he is.

[ With some reluctance, he closes the binder, holding it out. Hermann smiles, slightly. ]

Not, in fact, one with a doctorate in medicine. It is my understanding that only Dr. Tam may lay claim to that. As for Dr. Banner, it's for him to say.

[Nick shrugs, filing that question away for later.]

Well, so long as you think these belong to him. Anyone find anything of yours lately?

I would be very surprised if they do not.

[ Hermann then shakes his head. ]

No, no... I don't know if I should hope, given the nature, but if I were to hope, [ with a bit of uncharacteristic brightness, his expression close to :3, ] I wouldn't say no to one of my handheld chalkboards, I think!

[ ...really, he should hope for his medicine, but... ]

More probably I'd get the wisdom teeth they pulled sixteen years ago. Anything of yours?

[While Hermann seems chipper, Nick shakes his head.]

Not me. Can't think of anything I'd want anyway, save for a new leg, maybe.

Or a surplus of such parts. Or, if you were feeling highly ambitious, a terminal?

[ Only, really, the danger of hoping... nigh certain disappointment. He is less bright in those suggestions, more speculative. ]

[That gets an honest chuckle out of him.]

A terminal isn't a bad idea. Could put all the transcripts I'm making from the network on that thing. I'll keep it in mind, in case Hope is ever feeling generous.

[ As once discussed, their progress at a substitute limited by the available technology. But -- Hermann arcs his eyebrows. ]

You've been keeping transcripts. Ten months worth?

[ As Mr. Valentine had said about half a year, when they met four months ago. ]

[Code alteration is certainly a prospect he could get behind, if only for one reason: to access those missing memories of his. They're up there, albeit in pieces and impossible for him to access, but if the gods could make it happen, then there had to be a way.

But that's for another time.]

Since a couple of weeks after I got here. Figured they might be useful if the network ever went down, or the gods felt like wiping our communicators. Keeps me busy when I'm at my desk, since we're not exactly swimming in cases to solve.
