Event Log: Keepsakes

Who: Everyone participating in the event!
What: The event log for the Keepsakes event!
Where: All around the city
When: October 15th-October 19th
Warnings: A bunch of random crap.

Well, Hope and Delight are messing with the door again, but at least this time dragons aren't involved, right? This attempt goes a bit better - sure, no one gets sent home, but if everyone will just look under their seats, they'll find a FREE [INSERT SOMETHING YOU MAYBE DIDN'T WANT AT ALL HERE]! Awesome! So nice! Yup, throughout these few days people will be finding things from home - something they loved, something they used all the time, something they hated, something they totally forgot they even had. All sorts of cool stuff!

Well, they might not actually find it. Their neighbor might, or a complete stranger. And who knows where it could turn up? At the park, half-buried? In the Silent Hill zone, kept safe by a horrifying monster? Or hey, maybe in somebody's underwear drawer. Awkward. Better try to find your stuff, or find the owner of whatever weird crap you found. It could be something important.

► This log covers October 15th-October 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you somehow manage to die in this event, please let us know here, and also what the hell?

( henry has taken to wandering – if only to get himself out of the house, to give adam and ronan some space to be with one another without himself or noah playing the part of the roommate that happens to be around twenty-four-seven, and if he really thinks about it, getting out and about and mapping the city out for himself is a decent idea.

and there's something about the orchard, he has to admit, that feels a little more familiar, more normal than anything else about this place. because trees are universal things, or some such, and being able to see something at once so familiar and mundane brings about the sort of calm that, more often than not, is chased away by the knowledge that there's no telling what sort of chaos the door is going to bring through next.

there's no telling, really, who he may or may not run into in his wanderings – but of all the people he's become familiar with since his arrival, there are few that could bring a grin to his expression quite as easily as the sight of noah does. they may not have known one another back home in henrietta, and henry has caught himself thinking what a shame that is on several occasions, there's nothing like making up for lost time, especially when it seems like there's nothing but time for them here.
) Noah –

( he calls out, raising a hand in greeting in that friendly, open way of his. at least, until he notices that there is something very wrong about the huddled form of the blond; his expression falls, and his previously easy, almost-slow steps pick up enough to find him nearly jogging the rest of the way over, gaze narrowing as he makes a valiant attempt to figure out what it is noah's holding.

is that a raven?
)

Hey, hey. What's wrong?

( and why in the world is there a paper raven in the orchard? )

[Henry's call to Noah of course gets Noah's attention, tear-stained cheeks lifting to look up as the other boy's approach goes from an easy walk to a concerned quickened pace to be there sooner. It's embarrassing, of course, being caught crying. Only a little though. Noah did not have a whole lot of shame to begin with so the loss of himself left him with almost none. He does however feel bad about causing Henry worry.

How does he even begin to explain what's wrong?

Except, out of everyone here, Henry's kind of the one who he has talked to the most about this, who is possibly in the best position to understand Noah's tears.]

I found it in a tree.

[Noah's voice is small, looking from Henry back to the paper raven, opening up his embrace of it to show Henry better.]

Do you know whose it is?
