Event Log: Keepsakes

What: The event log for the Keepsakes event!
Where: All around the city
When: October 15th-October 19th
Warnings: A bunch of random crap.

Well, Hope and Delight are messing with the door again, but at least this time dragons aren't involved, right? This attempt goes a bit better - sure, no one gets sent home, but if everyone will just look under their seats, they'll find a FREE [INSERT SOMETHING YOU MAYBE DIDN'T WANT AT ALL HERE]! Awesome! So nice! Yup, throughout these few days people will be finding things from home - something they loved, something they used all the time, something they hated, something they totally forgot they even had. All sorts of cool stuff!

Well, they might not actually find it. Their neighbor might, or a complete stranger. And who knows where it could turn up? At the park, half-buried? In the Silent Hill zone, kept safe by a horrifying monster? Or hey, maybe in somebody's underwear drawer. Awkward. Better try to find your stuff, or find the owner of whatever weird crap you found. It could be something important.

[ How did it get here? The same way that people did, just appearing out of thin air? ]

I miss Josh. [ She says suddenly, on a mutter. ] I wish he hadn't left.

The gods probably know more than they're saying.

( She might have talked to Hope about the door but she doesn't believe it. Having no control over it is bullshit. It's their door, or maybe they're not gods )

Maybe we'll see him again.

( Maybe he'll come back, because as far as Beth's concerned here is the only place she can ever see her brother again )

I'm sure. [ She mutters. They're gods, right? They should know a lot of stuff, even if it's unnerving. ]

Yeah... maybe. [ Hannah smiles thinly. ] He was here when I first got here, and... it helped a lot.

[ Particularly coming on the tail end of the prank... and the fall. ]

What we he like? Here. This place-

( This place, Josh. Especially if he'd had that whole year after they'd died )

He seemed... good. [ Beth knows, just as Hannah knows, how much their brother has been struggling. ] Better than home, even. I'm not sure how, 'cause... I don't think he has his medication here.

[ Which is freaking scary... except, Josh didn't seem to be showing the side effects. ]

Maybe someone here helped him.

( One of the gods, maybe. Or their friends got him the help )

I'm glad that he was okay. I wish I could have seen him.

I hope so. I think he had some friends here - other people, not from home.

[ He deserves to feel better, to be safe. They all do. ]

I know. I'm sorry you didn't. [ Hannah reaches out to take her sister's hand and squeezes reassuringly. ] He could come back, though. And then we'll all be together again.

That'd be nice.

( It would be sad, especially for Josh if he was from the year after they'd died, but it would be nice. To see him again, to spend more time with him )
