Event Log: Keepsakes

What: The event log for the Keepsakes event!
Where: All around the city
When: October 15th-October 19th
Warnings: A bunch of random crap.

Well, Hope and Delight are messing with the door again, but at least this time dragons aren't involved, right? This attempt goes a bit better - sure, no one gets sent home, but if everyone will just look under their seats, they'll find a FREE [INSERT SOMETHING YOU MAYBE DIDN'T WANT AT ALL HERE]! Awesome! So nice! Yup, throughout these few days people will be finding things from home - something they loved, something they used all the time, something they hated, something they totally forgot they even had. All sorts of cool stuff!

Well, they might not actually find it. Their neighbor might, or a complete stranger. And who knows where it could turn up? At the park, half-buried? In the Silent Hill zone, kept safe by a horrifying monster? Or hey, maybe in somebody's underwear drawer. Awkward. Better try to find your stuff, or find the owner of whatever weird crap you found. It could be something important.

What's a grouse?

[It sounds weird. Miriam shrugs, wiggling her fingers in front of Winston's nose.]

There's the monsters. Some of them taste okay. Barnaby can get them if they're not too big.

A grouse? It's a woodland bird. Game meat, rich and dark, Winston here likes them.

[ His ears were twitching every time they said the word, almost getting excited at the idea there might be one to chase or eat. ]

Mmm... No, not too keen on the whole eating a monster deal... I'm sure I can find something Winston already eats.

[ A tought. ]

Could the Gods bring some in? If I was to pray to them or whatever you do around here.

[Miriam shrugs.] I mean, you can ask. But they'll want something for it. Usually it's more than praying.

Figures... What kind of something else would they want?

[ Miriam seems to know all about everyone here, so he assumes she knows all about the Gods too and how to appeal to them. ]

Depends on which one you ask. Rage usually wants you to hurt people, or go out and kill something. [Miriam peers up at him.] But that's not too bad. You can borrow Barnaby if you want. He's good at that.

I take it you're talking about monsters and not people?

[ Giving her a side glance, along with a slight, curious look. Of course, from their conversation earlier he knew Miriam's opinion on people who hurt people, but still...]

[Miriam shrugs.] Depends. It'd be okay if they were bad.

[Miriam hasn't killed anyone, ever, but Barnaby has. It doesn't count. It's different.]
